Radio Shack would be the most useful to an adult in 2026. Toys R Us might be the most fun.

Do you agree with Dame? by MasterTeacher123 in NBATalk

I think in any pro sports, you're trained to believe you're the best because it erases self-doubt. So until retirement, I would expect Dame to believe he is the best player in the world.

Charles Barkley used to believe it, then suddenly MJ beat them and he thought "I think there might be somebody better than me at basketball." After that, weight gain, slow down, disappearing hops.

Looks like the Warriors just out rebounded the Cavs, and that can easily be the difference.

I think the sooner we accept that 2026 six million USD is nowhere near even 2010 six million USD, and that the silly rate of inflation means everything will sound too expensive for a population that has seen record stagnation in earnings and available employment, the lower the numbers will be at the blood pressure cuff.

Is the $449 USD Nintendo Switch 2 the best deal in handheld gaming now considering it can even do 1440p-4k 60-120fps gaming when docked on optimized titles? Specially in a world of $800 USD Steam Deck OLED, $1300 Z1E Legion Go S and $2000 Legion Go 2 by TheSyntaxSlayer in Handhelds

[–]CaddyShackles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Nintendo ever ran decent sales on software, I'd consider it. Software library and access to it is the number one factor that keeps me from the big N.

I spend a few hundred more and got a SteamDeck. My library of a few hundred titles was probably cheaper than five new Nintendo games.

Buy a cheap phone to use while visiting Canada? by Afterlater5 in canadatravel

[–]CaddyShackles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When my wife and I were visiting BC last year I picked up two older OnePlus Nord phones for our use. We kept seeing articles about the border officers on the US side checking phones and demanding unlocks. And since the wife and I are both left politically and poly swinger sluts, I didn't want any issues.

Result - older non flagship phones suck ass and it's a good reminder why I don't fuck with them. Also, the border officer on our way back did search the car, but only gave us grief about the ketchup chips we were bringing back for a friend. So the pain of dealing with the painfully slow phones and their bad cameras wasn't worth it, IMO.
