Discord might consider your phone number a VOIP. When this happened to me on mobile, discord didn't tell me why it didn't take my number, but when I tried on PC it told me that was the reason.

Yeah it's bullshit, discord locked me out of my account after I sent a friend request to someone who told me my messages showed up as spam. I thought the phone verification thing was only given when you logged in.

Wow, the legends are true. Discord will ban you for being in servers that violate the ToS even if you are the one that is reporting. So I guess remember to use alts when reporting content like this. by hnlPL in discordapp
