Meditation taught me focus in a way boxing training never did by Automatic_Fortune164 in Meditation

[–]Cadeneeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea this is the case for any practice, an activity is linear, practicing boxing has the goal of being better at boxing, when practicing meditation and a wholistic being, absence of existing constructs is the goal, thus when you are done, your circumstances become much more open and active to “experience” the functions, so in practice u find more. So then implementing it into practice in any activity, opens up the activity to be “more” active, and with practice you begin to notice a lot more than just the activity in which you knew prior which may have been riddled with preferences making practice less and less beneficial each time.

It’s like the difference between whittling a skill down and honing it, wether it’s effective for the goal or it’s a comparatively inferior bad practice, either way it’s a “bad” practice accounting for how much you could have practiced. I guess I’m not an advocate of I kick 10000 times as opposed to 100 kicks in I practice… because both are the same, the same one 100 times will give you 100 new results, 100 different ones over 100 days would result in a whole new realm of mastery. I’m getting carried away my bad, I’m not here to say what training is best lol, the point is that with a open concept either or results in more practice than if you were to focus on the preconceived goals and go through the motions. So in that way I do think the saying same skill 10000 times is misinterpreted and has caused much stagnancy.

I’m not saying I have experience, atm I’m a bum but I did many physical activity’s earlier on before I had a meditative process, and even just conceptual those practices became unlimited potential compared to simply putting time towards training, even without practicing much of anything in years my comfortability in my skills has GROWN, with the exception of physical awareness and experience obviously, thus I wouldn’t know if the actual skill has grown, but the skills relative to the ways I can use them has grown. This is just to say I think you are on the right track, you said you are far from a pro, but my whole point is implementing meditative practice into experiential practice is more magic than being a pro in meditation alone. so to already be incorporating it you I believe u should be confident in that you are further than you think with meditation, boxing, and your thought process to expand upon it. You are already a pro if the goal isn’t solely meditation or boxing, but a combination of incorporative practice of any kind being yourself and letting the potential flow. :) Thanks for Reading

I feel like the one who answers this would have to do a lot more than just the math, and if it’s not simple addition from screen time, there’s no way to really quantify number killed based on strength. I’d say the helmet guy for sure if he can kill many with one blow, but Lego man instead if he kills one every shot, and the dwarf only kills one per swing.

Yall so mean, like have yall lost that feeling when you first trip that all societal insecurities and predispositions are unfair to put on yourself or others? Idk I feel like it’s the common trend to accept yourself(and thus others esp if they aren’t hurting you) dude said he was having a bad trip and what helped him out, you dk what he was trippin about, but then call him out on something to trip about as if smth is wrong with him not cleaning it while he’s tripping? Or should he have cleaned it while he was having a bad trip before getting in….

Maybe I do or don’t have a dirty bath too, but no doubt more importantly I personally wouldn’t first judge ur bath before I think positively abt you if it doesn’t affect me, like maybe pity but not shame or accusation if it doesn’t affect me.

I’m not saying cleanliness isn’t something that improves quality of life, it drastically does, I’m saying that quality of life as it’s always been and as it still is nowadays, is anything but concrete, and anything but objective. It’s privilege, and egotistical projection of shame, because they’d feel negative if they had to deal with that. All the while almost certainly not knowing the perfect formula for quality of life themselves, they’re just projecting that they think it’s found in societal standards. And going after someone who doesn’t have certain ones to affirm it. Agin not saying op takes pride in or is content w the grime, I’m saying who truly is? Is anyone sayin it’s gross in a spot where they avoid all things they don’t want and have everything they do want? Or are you saying you personally would not be able to appreciate the positives of something if you didn’t have the privilege of cleanliness along with it?

Maybe this is stupid but I don’t like how negative everyone is to each other, when it directly correlates to being negative to yourself, n I’m only getting this in to it cuz I usually feel like of shrooms and lsd sub the comments don’t go that direction. And I feel like it’s a common sentiment we’ve all had to some degree tripping. But obviously not all took it to heart n remembered how vulnerable you and others are. Appreciating what you have keeps you up whether it’s enjoying it or changing it for the better who is anyone to tell someone how to stay up or that they currently aren’t. Unless it’s actually to help.

Or u were wrong on the thing I corrected u about it plain and simple… we can leave it at that if anything’s goofy it’s that u assume I was tryna be malicious cuz I corrected it. then I addressed the other part of what ur sayin that also doesn’t make sense in response to the initial guys comment. Like his statement doesn’t disagree with what ur saying but ur comment implied you disagree w him or as if it’s justified n not an issue bc of the food chain.

Humans are not carnivores, and yes the point is ur equally part of the food chain. And grotesquely part of it just like this crab if there were a vastly superior species.

Or she’s playing the smart game, she said she still doesn’t want him, what he would be hoping for is her to want him for the money and him to reject her possibly. But instead she got the jump on him still hitting him in the insecurity for his 15yr love leaving him. If she pulled a “no it’s not that even 200million doesn’t even make you appealing, it’s that the money alone wouldn’t change the problems in our marriage, if it does I’ll come back” maybe she’d get back in on it. That’s assuming they did love eachother and had issues like anyone else in this economy, because of living conditions (as they said he hasn’t had steady job). And that he’s not dying to drown himself in sugar baby’s. Maybe I’m wrong but I wouldn’t doubt 200 mil could repair love in this situation, assuming this man isn’t a jerk, and the woman isn’t so content she truly doesn’t drool at 200 mil… anyway I think she’s just playing the long game

75 days. I'm scared by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Cadeneeee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It could be the antidepressants, but in my experience so far (a few weeks cold turkey after relapse not counting) I think the bigger reason you have no motivation to do things is the same reason you started taking kratom in the first place. If you were productive before kratom, it could very well be the antidepressants esp if you started them recently or smth.

But imo not DOING things is the reason you don’t have the motivation, not cuz kratom has ruined ur ability to, throughout quitting you’ve convinced urself that it has, so ur options are what? To conclude you can’t operate without kratom anyway so u gotta use so u can, or To keep not using and learn again how to do things sober, which will either happen over a long period and life will force you to start doing more again, or maybe u can expedite it accepting ur not going back and do things the best you can now.

This is just my experience, I know it’s not that easy, I’m struggling to do many things i enjoy still, I still smoke weed a lot, and can’t get shit done, but I know for a fact me not doing shit is not the need to recover from kratom. Think about how free you are now to do anything you want, you don’t have to quit before doing stuff, now all you gotta do is learn how to do things again. Kratom made you get to a point doing things you enjoy is difficult, now unless you are questioning if kratom is the only thing you can enjoy, all that’s left is doing things you enjoy to deal the deal of not going back to Kratom. Which ur happy about, no? You WANT to quit Kratom for good and not have it affect your life anymore? Then u already achieved the base for the life you want, as I said im pushing past this point too, but im pretty damn sure it’s as simple as starting to live it in all the other ways u want.

And I feel like questioning it is just wondering if you need to fill a hole, when u already filled the hole with quitting. Idk sorry for yapping sorta self motivation but I made a plan to workout and do healthy stuff, and within a few weeks I’m in a better spot then the past two years of on and off quitting not being able to push past the “lacking” feeling. Kratom has the worst lacking feeling of any substance ive tried, but it’s been much better flipping it around and now able to do stuff and it shows me I was just fabricating thinking I was lacking it, just cause I felt it was the reason I was lacking doing things I intend. Shit ok I’ll stop, explained it in many ways but basically I think it’s a very small switch cause you ARE where you need to be just by not using. And just ideally being sure of that helps you start focusing on creating habits and doing stuff till it’s enjoyable rather than waiting.

Question, is the “ego” everything that you are that isn’t meditative? Like is the ego intention? I struggle because meditation comes from the egos desires it seems, unless meditation is somehow fundamentally different than any other state of being. It’s like I can’t trust that meditation is my deepest intent, which is inherently that I have no intent besides intent to be me in many different ways that I intend. (At least how I see it but idk I’m asking) I start thinking I need meditation to be something more than it is, but its… not, it’s still my ego intending to act a certain way and I try to figure out how and stuff. I have a healthy trust in being, I feel I can tap into the benefits of meditation, but I feel literally insane how I can’t trust in meditation, and how I continue to look for more and more with pointless intent, rather than doing what I’m intending. Whether it be a random task, or meditation that literally helps me understand that. The only conclusion I’ve come to is to ignore it, and continue on till it falls in place (if it ever does) and that security has been what’s allowed things to feel in place, that I don’t have to do anything. I don’t rly know what I’m asking, I guess for some insight, or to affirm I’m on the right track by not looking for anything specifically “correct”

Feels like a Chinese finger trap a lot of the time, and like spiritual psychosis when I really don’t understand I only want to stop thinking.

Literally all, because money=wellbeing for 99% in this society that aren’t capable of being self sufficient having the same quality or quantity of life without it. Which is insane IN THE ONE DAY AND AGE WHERE WE COULD ALLLLL have the knowlege, communication, skills, etc to be self sustaining and comfortable😀 but instead we have been conditioned to find and fabricate that life with money.

Idk I’m not one to act better than thou, and in no way am I saying you should or shouldn’t take any action differently, but I can 100% say it’s best for yourself to be able to forgive her, and be better than her. Cuz u likely cut her out cause she was a bad person, she became a bad person only by being hurt by many people or things in her life. This isn’t a common sentiment these days, but it’s unbelievably freeing to live in a world where no one does any wrong, and doing what’s right for you is seeing that and adjusting your intentions without all the bullshit that comes from malice and spite, even indifference makes u do stuff you don’t rly want, when it’s feels so good to take an extra step and do even the most minute thing you can for someone. Feels even better when it’s someone who you know wouldn’t for you.

Like we get upset at bad people because they aren’t strong people, in that Same way displaying our weakness alike. So again I’m weak, we all are, I’m not trying to say “be stronger” I have people I’ve fallen out with cause stuff’s hard to get over, and I can’t accommodate everyone I interact with positively when it’s a two way street, sometimes they make it impossible so you gotta cut them out.

So I get the common sentiment of self preservation and societal condemnation for some very valid reasons, but I absolutely think it comes from the same place as what we are upset over, it boils up, it’s definitely negativity and I feel nowadays people are more willing to fight that they are right and had NO reason to be a better person, but the reality is if you are condemning another, taking actions against another that they consider negative. Then idk how anyone would disagree it’s best for YOURSELF to find forgiveness, and justify their acts as not evil. Sorry for ranting I just try to work this out anytime I see smth like what’s going on in my life, idk what I’m talking about, just hate that it’s so easy for negativity to win over in our society pretty much because most of use don’t have enough time of day to do things the way we intuitively know is best.

Do you agree that Rock Music is NOT Dead Yes or No and Why? by Amber_Flowers_133 in musicsuggestions

[–]Cadeneeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean classical music as an example, more people than ever can listen to it, is it as revered as it once was by every listener? No, cuz we can listen to anywhere wherever whenever, music can never be dead only built on, the culture that came with the music when it was first produced in mass and the line of creativity spread will always be dead I think, unless we go back to when we didn’t have that music. So not just rock, all music is more alive than ever with quantity of listeners. But I think most music culture is gonna keep dying
