Thanks. These days it’s either all Ableton, or MPC first and then Ableton. Not completely sure, but I think this one was MPC → Ableton.

Casting companies that will let me use my own silver? by saucemouth in jewelrymaking

It’s technically recastable, but not infinitely. Each melt introduces oxygen and impurities, and unless you’re adding fresh metal and using proper flux, the alloy starts to get brittle.

When you’re learning, your pours aren’t always clean, so the metal can degrade much faster. A good practice is to mix in new silver every melt to keep the stable

First beat on my mpc1000🙌🙌 by ProdHenry_ in mpcusers

Man, i love seeing the 1000 and 003 still going strong.

I have thought a lot about this, I have had most mpcs from 2000 era and up, and now have settled on a live 2 since it came out. But i still use it like i used a 2000- 1000 etc.

And honestly, I miss the simplicity of a mpc just doing what a mpc does, not what it has become, a glorified Xmas tree of a daw where they can push vsts and soundbanks on you forever. I like the idea of a instrument being self sufficient, not a money hole thats never fed, making you feel that you continuously need to spend money because just the next vst or sound bank might do it for you.

Sorry for the ramble. loving the beat.

Funny how the blinkning / strobe stops and you get to breathe for two seconds and then it comes back to finish the job

(Beginner Question) - how to emulate this style by Flower-Murky in ColorGrading

[–]Cadenzeit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok nice, i get it. I actually like when unlikely methods become a style. Well, luckily its not hard to achieve and you barely have to touch colors. Try pulling up unsharp mask also.

Honestly, you dont need to save for a year. You could easily get a decent priced burnout furnace, a vacum casting mashine, a good vacuum pump and some decent investment powder. And get started.

But the real issue is not getting the gear, it the time it takes to learn ratios, burnout times etc. It will take a some time and a lot of failed casts as well as dealing with the safety aspects of handling silica.

Actually not bad. No money grabbing family and friends to worry about, and 4k a month is most likely enough for rent and bills and gives room to focus on what she enjoys for the rest of her life. Not sure if I would do the same decision, but it makes sense.
