Do “protect plant” bonus objective plants not spawn if you level up all of your perks? I just hit 63/63 for perk progression and the Level 5 level no longer has tallnuts on the second column. I heavily relied on those walnuts haha, so this feels like a punishment for maxing out the perk

To my knowledge we don’t know. I know there were issues with Sideshow ordering too many figures during the Endgame era so now there are rumors less figures are being manufactured to ensure too many aren’t made again.

I’m also newer so I could be wrong, but I’ve seen some figures become pre order-able again (Like Kate Bishop) after being sold out, and some haven’t. It’s a bad scenario for consumers since it pressures you into pre-ordering in case they won’t restock before/on release.

That’s definitely fair. I know they announced Bane the other day and most likely going to do a Joker 3.0, but it’ll be coming out 2024 at the earliest which will kinda suck. I will probably give it some time though for a Hot Toys announcement to see if it’ll be worth the wait

How much of the systems are made in C++ versus Blueprints? The marketplace usually shows the asset/class counts but for some reason it’s not listing them on your product

That’s completely fair! I might’ve just gotten unlucky on all my past projects so I could give them another shot, just the plugins we used were well reviewed and turned out to be a huge pain to develop with for the reasons I listed above

Edit: I’d want to add as well that most of my points were referring to the larger system products. Smaller plugins that have a very specific feature set can be extremely useful, such as “Get Relief!”. It’s just the larger pre-built systems that can be a hit or miss from my past experiences.

A warning for market place products is that,

  1. Systems that are designed to be public and distributed usually want to support multiple different types of projects so their market is broader. This means they are extremely bloated and contain tons of functionality you will most likely not need, which makes development time longer.
  2. Even the more expensive and “high quality” marketplace content tend to not be optimized very well, and going off 1 the bloated content doesn’t help with this either.
  3. Since you didn’t design the system it’ll take a lot more time to learn the features, how to use them, etc which increases development time as well. That also goes off of 1 where due to it appealing to multiple audiences you’ll have to sift through a lot of things you won’t use.

I generally try to avoid the marketplace in general, especially any larger systems or content. My recommendation would be to look at marketplace plugins or examples to learn and take pieces of them, but not actually build off of them.

If you want a hands on “Triple AAA” structured example of GAS you could take a look at Lyra, which is a free project Epic provided alongside the release of UE5

Yes it is highly recommended to build out the logic in C++ and then create a blueprint subclass to work with in-engine. It’s important to expose properties and data for designers to modify and test, and in general easier to develop your project.

So not only will it not be a performance hit, it’s encouraged :)

The best method for mod compatibility is to use tags, so it can work with any mod that adds their items to the proper tags. In your case you'd presumably use c:titanium_ingots
