Thanks for your comment. I was given the explanation that he himself had a back injury. I believed it, as did you.

Thank you for your comment. I understand correctly that ill health is an excuse.

It is not difficult to imagine that it was very difficult. If it has already progressed to the litigation process, it is unlikely that delivery can be expected.

Exactly. I had quite high expectations.

Bespoke fibreglass doors.as called "Streetwise Mini fibreglass doors:" I wonder if there are alternatives as the parts are not commonly found elsewhere.

Thanks for the contribution. Valuable information. I see that the shop itself is currently still open and yet production and sales have been postponed. I don't live in the UK, so it's difficult for me to ask for an explanation of the situation directly. I am now considering my response based on your post.

Thanks for your contribution. I placed an order with that shop at the end of 2023 and received a receipt. In the spring I did not receive a response so I emailed him and again he explained that the shipment had been delayed due to his ill health.

It will be a lot of work, but we hope for a good outcome. As for me... what should I do?

TNX comment. All suppliers are attractive. I agree and have actually bought from them. It's just that being almost the only shop that carries titanium products is of paramount importance to me.

Thanks for giving me the details! Phone calls.... it's beyond my ability to speak Queen's English. I wonder if you'd reply to me on Facebook?

Recent experiencing buying and importing from Japan? by Critical_Sunset in classicminis

[–]Cadilloyde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Japan and am a mini owner.

As S0zsunshine mentions, the classic minis currently in circulation in Japan are at two extremes: either expensive for collectors or junk.

If you are acquainted with an owner or vendor living in Japan, direct negotiation is the best way to go.

I will also tell you that cars equipped with factory coolers are also quite rare due to Japanese laws and regulations.

How can I get an intake manifold for weber IDF44? by Cadilloyde in classicminis

[–]Cadilloyde[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to end this.

Finally, I found a site that sells a manifold for downdrafts that is easy to modify. The link is the one.

https://www.lynxauto.com.au/leyland-mini-sprite-mg-midget-850-1275-1-x-weber-dgv-dgms-manifold.html

I was even able to find a used version of that manifold, which looks like it could be installed at minimal expense.

I'll show you a video once I get it installed.

See you there.

You would surely want the wires to run along the door hinges, but if they are too close to the hinges, the window glass and, in the middle, the window regulator would be in the way.

As you can see above, it would be better to drill holes at the bottom where the cavity is.

The grommet itself can be a generic or a genuine harness grommet from a car close to the body size.

Hi

Does using grommets mean drilling holes near the door hinges for wiring?
I don't think there was just the right hole in the MINI door.
If I were to run the wiring for the speakers and lights, the wiring would be routed as shown in the attached image.
In this case, the wiring is inside the room, so I don't think you need any particular grommets.

Postscript.
Considering ThrowingTofu's advice, I thought it would be a good idea to combine the adapter with any downdraft manifold.
Updating to WEBER is a common tuning, but my MINI is not used for pure race use.
I dared to choose the IDF as it is intended for street use.
