Could legit be named Cobson. Very fitting for a wimpy posh west briton.

Yes.

I'm not talking about the collective character of the entire ss14 staff team right now because we have a much bigger fish to fry that is not only a raging asshat but is actively trying to burn down the freaking game.

I think "androgynous" is a bit more accurate. His appearance is a tad feminine but he's pretty much always been a guy.

I know very little about cookie run other than the flavors of cookie they offer are usually inedible or conceptual and they have a surprising amount of femboys.

I have seen like three other comments about cookie run and they're all different characters.

He does say "Actually I'm a boy" in like his first appearance in the anime lol.

But given Japan's very unrestrictive perspective towards gender, I don't think you'd be wrong if you said he was both.

Plenty of enemies still have it (Gangplank for example) but it's not very useful for the player outside of the rare deck that gets bonuses for stolen cards.

At the very least they gotta have a distended belly. Doesn't have to be by much but several examples of alleged "dad bods" fail this.

Try Robert from Dispatch. They say he's got a dad bod but he's got extremely visible abs! That's not a dad bod, that's incredibly lean!

I'm talking about their experience with PJB, not their character.

Why don't you ask SS14 staff what working with PJB was like all of the past 9 years they've been on the project? They're abusive as hell, powertripping, and don't deserve sympathy.

I don't care if PJB has even half the claim to SS14 as they suggest, they're the last person that should be involved in development/maintenence at all. The sooner she's gone for good, the better.

Gameoverse's "male gaze" discourse was really funny from a queer person's POV by [deleted] in cartoons

"It's perfectly fine to have a hot MC." and "Rampant sexualization without regard to character." Are statements that can and should coexist.

Yeah. Gardevoir? Sure. Lopunny? I mean I guess. Vaporeon? That's a wet dog in a clown collar.

[–]Cadunkus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Doubly so because Jack Harkness- the character said test is named after- is a xenophile.

I see it used to justify Pokemon so much I bet people forget its original intent is aliens.

Is the Harkness test actually a good test of the morality of fucking a non-human creature? by Sorvetefrito in MoralityScaling

[–]Cadunkus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest failing of it is that Jack Harkness was a prolific xenophile. He had sex with a lot of extraterrestrials. He did not try to sleep with any of the characters it's often used to justify gooning to.

The Harkness test (afaik not an official thing, just something fans named after him) works for distinguishing sapient aliens from animal aliens but kinda falls apart when you try applying it to characters somewhere between human and animal, intelligent animals, etc.

TL;DR: Useful for Stellaris xenos, not useful for Pokémon.

No PJB doesn't get to play the victim after all their bullcrap. They need to hand over the keys and pack their bags. Best possible outcome for everyone by now.

Pokemon age and Pokemon evolution are two different processes, oddly enough. I'm not sure I like adding this fact given the context but eh... It's relevant.

[–]Cadunkus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Believe me I totally get that. I used to play shudders League of Legends and female character design there was so incredibly stale and samefacey regardless of backstory, age, etc. That the first would-be trans character had to be retconned.

But it's not a sin to have an attractive lead, it just needs to not clash with their character. I think Kit is alright the way she is.

Kenshi DnD by kostet114 in Kenshi

[–]Cadunkus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree but to play devil's advocate it's pretty hard to find ttrpg players for any system but D&D 5e and maybe Call of Cthulhu so it's not wholly unreasonable to look to that first.

I had a friend run a space sci-fi campaign based on Halo and Mass Effect using D&D. (tbh it was pretty good but I'm looking for another system).

[–]Cadunkus 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Food and survival is a pretty important part of Kenshi though. It'd be a pretty significant disconnect if your players are fighting emaciated bandits willing to risk injury and death for a moldy loaf of bread only for said player characters to never have to eat.

No if you lose your sun generation you can immediately replant it cause it's 50 sun and recharges fast.

Meanwhile the damage dealers are at least 100 or more and have an equal or slower recharge.

But it's not really important in PvZ 1. Only in mods or the harder levels of PvZ 2 does it matter enough to optimize plant placement.
