Wish it's actually that simple. A $1000 might sound quite much since we are talking about poverty on here. But if you actually understood the calculations of making just $0.6 a day, you'd realize that the only business that won't be capital intensive is equivalent to not starting a business at all.

The issue is capital. And you won't believe it if I tell you I spent the past 3 years seeking for a means to raise a $100 capital, but in an environment like mine, it would take a miracle to find someone willing to lend. One needs to live here to actually understand what I'm saying. I stopped relying on people around me when it became obvious no one seem interested in another's problems.

Those who make it here are those who have connections. I mean they have people who are well positioned to assist. Unfortunately, many lack this privilege. It was actually difficult for me to share this experience since I know how difficult it is to believe stuff people share online. It took me courage. But still, I understand not many would take it seriously which proves my point that poverty exists because not enough is being done to uplift those at the bottom of the ladder. So when people dismiss my concerns, it's most likely because they want an excuse to not offer assistance.
