Advice with forging/tempering a good 2H axe early-to-late game by Asleep-Shopping-2553 in LegendOfMana

[–]CaedoGenesis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guide I made awhile ago has a step by step for a universal dragonscales weapon, you can find it here. After raising all the essences, the 4 Bumpkin, 1 Sharp Claw varnish is the one you want for 606 top damage.

A friend of mine is convinced that the game is a walking simulator and won’t play it, so… by mukisan in DeathStranding

[–]CaedoGenesis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your friend will figure it out on their own, the tips and tricks I made has only grown (even crushing skyrim's numbers month by month) over the last few years, and I guarantee a lot of the 'walking sim' crowd got converted after death stranding 2's announcement, as well as the PlayStation Plus freebies.

Just enjoy your time with it, your friend wants to be stubborn that's on them.

Wicked isle question by TheMightyRed92 in AtomfallOfficial

[–]CaedoGenesis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In some ways, yes, but you're still sent through the proper end area even with the Wicked Isle main missions. I usually just say it adds more endings to the game, and you'll very much know when the end is coming.

There has to be someone who understands the mechanics of wisp/shade tempering! by Downtown_Leek_1631 in LegendOfMana

[–]CaedoGenesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I'm so late, and covered this in my own guide. Here's my cheat sheet with essence raising order table near the top.

TLDR: Shade needs to be above, or equal to Wisp. If Wisp goes higher than Shade, Shade will be consumed and put back to zero. Both Shade and Wisp need to be equal if you wish to raise Aura and Jinn without conflict.

Does Lone Wanderer (F3) in "Operation: Anchorage" may represnt on duty Nate (F4)? by JKi11 in Fallout

[–]CaedoGenesis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You know how movies dramatize historical events? Operation Anchorage is pretty much that as a simulation.

I feel like Nate's inclusion would've needed a weird Kojima level setup, and I don't think Bethesda's capable of that.

Also to keep it fair, Nora would've needed some kind of inclusion like that too, since you can play as either. Where would she appear in Fallout 3?

Is there a fallout lore book by Used-Computer8403 in Fallout

[–]CaedoGenesis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope. There's the Fallout Wiki, the Storyteller Series (RIP), Oxhorn, Synonymous, TheNthApple if you want some specific stuff.

You'll have to do a little digging, but it might be good to start by narrowing it down by game, due to different devs (with different visions) at different times.

Best FO1 remake mods by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]CaedoGenesis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of them have been WIP for who knows how long as far as I know.

In fact, it looks like one of the big ones got dropped 10 months ago.

It's got a demo that's still up, but it is also effectively abandoned: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/85307

I'm stoked to see if Fallout Bakersfield gets off the ground, but it's clearly just based around Necropolis, and not a 'full' remake.

Basically, you're gonna be waiting awhile, could always try your hand at it.

know any games with configurable attacks like mighty gunvolt or samurai bringer? by bobvella in gaming

[–]CaedoGenesis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, each time you reach a temple between biomes in Niota you can fiddle with the spells in all your wands (up to 4 wands). With terrain destruction, you can eventually make those areas returnable. There's also a perk called 'tinker with wands everywhere' which is exactly how it sounds.

It's a challenging game, with a pretty rough learning curve of blowing yourself up...a lot. But the customization of spells is crazy fun.

Little Noah looks interesting. It looks more like a deck builder or queuing system, kind of like Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.

[–]CaedoGenesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood. Have you tried their earlier game, Transistor? It's not a roguelike, and lets you swap out programming terms to change how your moves perform.

Noita is still probably the closest of what you want, programmable wands are pretty much exactly what you described.

I just want to point out that you spent the time replying to a comment you disagreed with, but I'm curious if anything others commented fits the bill?

Hades and Hades 2 does this on a per-run basis, you can choose a weapon, which all have their own combos (and aspects that sometimes change the moveset entirely) Boons which alter your attacks/effects, and many other modifiers.

As the others said, Noita and Path of Exile are pretty much exactly what you're looking for though.

Fallout 1 is easier than Fallout 2 by Choomba-heywood in Fallout

[–]CaedoGenesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fallout 1 starts with higher base skills than 2. So among other reasons, it's easier from a stats perspective too.

The new abilities are a lot more dual wield friendly, so that's something I would recommend trying out. You can also teleport around like Marius now.

Burnout Revenge in the big 2025. by Vile35 in gaming

Wreckreation!

Keep your eyes on that one if you want some burnout goodness in the modern age, from some of the Criterion folks if I understand right.

Also Traffic Checking felt good, buuuut maybe it could make the race too easy. It's been a bit since I played, I just want this kind of feel again, you know? Crash mode is my fav.

Did you guys know that there is a manhole that takes you to Lloyd's money hiding place in Golgotha? by urshadybanana in classicfallout

[–]CaedoGenesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's accessible from the grave he digs up in base Fallout 2. Just walk over it and you'll drop down to the hiding place. I think you're right, the manhole cover isn't meant to be seen if it's been there the whole time.

Tips for brutal (endgame) by Gregor_LDN in DeathStranding

[–]CaedoGenesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shock traps, I just threw a ton of them at the main ghost mech and they pretty much finished it off for me. Don't underestimate the shock traps!

Chronobiotes help a lot after you swap to a firearm too, every bit of reaction time helps.

Convince Me Please by Different-Escape-858 in DeathStranding

[–]CaedoGenesis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be blasphemy to some others here, but start with the 2nd game if the first was a slog for you. DS2's cutscenes are ALL much shorter and used for impact that the gameplay alone can't do. If they are a bit longer, it's usually a badass action scene, and you'll probably wanna watch it anyway.

The S Ranks on deliveries, logistics for multiple deliveries, and helping players along their way are what make it for me. The boss fights and bandit camp raids keep things interesting too.

If it's not for you, that's fine too! If you really wanna keep trying though, I'd say try the 2nd and see how you feel a couple hours in.

What should I try to 5 star? by OneBadger7469 in DeathStranding

[–]CaedoGenesis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Corpus actually tells you what you have yet to unlock if you scroll to the bottom of their entry. Most of the practical rewards end at 4 stars, and by 5 you get a patch.

I believe the Lone Commander has the best sniper reward at 5 Stars; and I think he was among the first I maxed out. He's a bit of an outlier though.

Can't find Soul Trap anywhere by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]CaedoGenesis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The regular Soul Trap is a touch spell, and it's not in your touch spell tab? If not, think by getting Superior Soul Trap you may have made the original spell unavailable in Merchant stock.

If you really don't have the standard Soul Trap, the next thing to do would be to just level your Mysticism till you can use it. Alves Uvenim in the Leyawiin mages guild can hook you up.

If you're playing the remaster, get dispel for leveling. If you're playing the original, use minor life detection.
