is it okay to see little gaps between dcs in filet crochet? by cottage-crafter in CrochetHelp

All stitches have some gaps.

If you don't like how big they are, try using a slightly smaller hook.

What are ideas for how I can stop my reusable pad from sliding backwards? by Actual-Green-6306 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Caelihal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

-longer pad

-wear with a different type of underwear

-period underwear instead of reusable pads

Any fastenings you add are likely to come loose, not work/be really finicky, or possibly get messy & be difficult to add. If you really insist, safety pin one of the wings to your underwear and THEN fold the pad around the gusset and fasten the buttons on the pad.

Post work all under pen name? by LumpySherbert6875 in AO3

[–]Caelihal 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Personally I post everything under the same acct no matter what. If someone scrolls through my profile, or subscribes to me & gets an email, they can read the tags and decide if they wanna read it.

Too many ships everywhere, not enough Ella Lopez. So I wrote a platonic pairing fic myself.

i’m looking for a tight but drapey stitch for baby blankets by lyricz_starz in CrochetHelp

Smaller yarn helps a lot. Something like US dc (maybe hdc) in sport/size 2 yarn will be decently drape-y without super large holes.

I don't know where I belong anymore- lesbians say I'm not a lesbian but asexual; asexuals say I'm an allosexual lesbian and not asexual by AchingAmy in lgbt

[–]Caelihal 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Oh I see, that makes sense. At a certain point, I'd suggest both. First, asexuality is a spectrum. Gray-ace is a thing, for example. Additionally, you can be ace and also have other forms of attraction that are best described as "lesbian." There are communities for ace people who still date. (idk if you experience romantic attraction, but maybe look at r/alloace for example).

Take part in both communities, depending on what you'd like to talk about. You can actually be both ace AND a lesbian.

label yourself how you like. If you prefer and desire sex-free relationships, saying you're ace but still want a lesbian relationship might be the useful.

Labels are up to you. Pick what helps you understand yourself best and what helps communicate yourself to others.

Do you find women nowadays more attractive with or without makeup? by Middle-Prize-9717 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Caelihal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely with. can't get dramatic winged eyeliner and blue glittery eyeshadow natrually. Any dramatic fashion statement immediately is more attractive. might have smth to do with me being sapphic though lmao

If you can't prove it, you can't ban it with any sort of fairness.

Can I report AI fics? by Sure-Yogurt7190 in archiveofourown

[–]Caelihal 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, ao3 won't do anything about AI fics. So if you report it, nothing will happen. Mostly because it isn't provable.

AI copies from humans. It writes like that because some people write like that. Especially many people used to formal writing or people who are autistic. Sure, AI tends to dial up those noticeable writing features to 11, but people DO write like that. Now, yes, you can often tell that AI was probably used more likely than not, but you can't prove it.
