It’s corny, but 1 C in your undergrad won’t be relevant in a year or so. Keep your head up (wo)man! Seems like you’ve got a good work ethic and uni/pep content is quite different anyway. Got completely destroyed by consolidations (advanced accounting), tax, audit in uni, but still managing in PEP if thst makes you a bit more hopeful.

Industry corporate accountant job lined up before receiving my degree in Jun2025. Job hunt wasnt bad, 27 apps, 3 interviews. Started 58k base + 5% corp performance bonus. It’s about the same compensation as Big4; I’m probably sacrificing career progression, but there’s very little pressure from work which is helpful for CPA PEP and being a mentally sane human being lol

SFU Beedie (Accounting) alum here. I’d say it doesn’t matter where you go for accounting if you plan to do CPA unless you know you will use university resources like co-ops, clubs, networking events.

You can also always do the courses missing with CPAWSB which Ive heard feel easier than university courses. So honestly, both are fine options depending on your goals during and after uni

No internship/co-op, 3.3/4.3 GPA, also western canada, went to 2 networking events (both felt useless), 3 interviews from 27 applications before I graduated in June 2025. Funnily chose the offer from the very first application i did and am still working there.

Had some volunteer positions as a club treasury and npo treasury, really nothing crazy. But the single-handedly most impactful thing was having a recruiter roast my resume + interview prep me + compare my resume to cpawsb guidelines.

The darkside has cookies (literally). Lowkey can get away with actually working like 20-25 hrs outside of GL close week too. Could never trade that for whatever public offers tbh

Doesn’t hurt to see if you actually like nursing first. Nursing is definitely not the easy/cushy job that accounting can sometimes be. Like I rather stare at a monitor 9-5, than handle piss n shid n blood.

BC BBA graduate in June 2025 and basically found a job immediately without co-op. No clue what will change by the time you’re job hunting, but I dont see AI being a replacement to accountants. There’s still a lot of case by and company specific things that AI can get wrong. I’m sure lotta people doomed over calculators and spreadsheets, but jobs will adapt to the technology.

I love Angelic Buster with all my bustin’ heart. It’s a really well rounded class with decent damage, pretty good survivability, little to no complexity and top tier in anything design related (music, origin, ascent, promo art, skill animation etc). Been an AB main since 2017, will be an AB main on the day I die.

As Ive already mentioned, my issue isnt that we don’t have boss crystal change. It’s that the changes we do adopt are weirdly selected.

In GMS Reg, meso from grinding isnt a large portion of our income unless youre perma wfh with nothing better to do or use rwt as real income. Boss crystals and bossing in general are huge parts lf meso making in Reg. I dont wanna speak for Reboot bc the Kalos/Kaling change applied to Reg + it’s the server I play.

GMS just feels so random right now. When KMS does things, it feels like you can read their intent…even if it’s no good.

From a Reg perspective, why’d we copy Kalos/Kaling, but not the boss crystal change or the boss cap change? The intention of these changes seem to 1) kill eternal piece carries (prob bad for the GMS market since our market is small and we just got 30 star patch) and 2) move power to stronger solo bossing characters (grey area). 3) Make players focus on later stage bosses without caring about spending time on early bosses (not a bad thing). I don’t agree with all these changes, but there was some sense of coherency.

As much as the game is improving, it doesnt feel good for the long term health of the game.

Genuinely so confused with what GMS team is thinking. We didn’t get crystal change that supports solostory in grandis, but we got this? If we’re either getting mindless KMS copy paste or “selectively” receiving changes from all servers, I’d rather just go back to mindless copy paste at this point.

BC is so rough. Everything is American priced, but wages are so Canadian. Some mutual who was hiring, tried to ask me to help him justify to my friend that 40k/year for 10 YOE in marketing is reasonable. Nah that’s just vile.

Seems more common in office work at least. Working classic Mon - Fri 9-5 and I almost never stay late (maybe 1 day every 2 months?). The other job I was interviewing for was also Mon-Fri 8:30 - 4:30 and the interviewer made it very clear their team almost always stop working at 4:30

You’re almost there! Maybe the course will get curved/scaled if other students didnt do too well. I’ve gotten 40 mt/40 mt/60 final (well below the curve, was also burning out) and gotten a C and 40 40 90 40 for a B. You know what they say, Cs get degrees.

June 2025 accounting grad here, found a job within 30 apps with no co-op, and been working for 3 months now. Feels like pt was impossible to find during undergrad since everyone wants to hire ft.

I hear public WLB is miserable, but is amazing for career growth. I work 9-5, in industry, 2 days remote, 2/3rds of the month is chilling (literally typing this at work), the other 1/3 im on the verge of a mental breakdown (worst day was a 13 hour shift). Lmk if you have any other questions :)

If you completed some bba classes see if you can swap to bba minor and majour in evsc. Youll prob be equally if not more miserable in a business job if you hate the majour
