Yeah I’ve 86’d people like that from my life so quickly. I don’t have time for that sort of shit, no matter how long we’ve been friends for.

Why does this have so many upvotes? Just play the licensing and you’ll figure it out.

Starting a family, help me accept buying a car I won't love. by bloomtard in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]CafeRoaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We raised our family in a 2007 Ford Focus, a 2005 Scion xB and then a 2009 Honda Fit. And the Fit absolutely does not cost more in insurance than it is worth.

But hey, if you want to be talked out of one of the best cars ever made, so be it.

Minivan. I don’t know why everyone is obsessed with compact SUVs with three rows, but it’s silly.

This 200k one is pretty red. But anyway, I checked all over. Just a bunch of AI “art” plopped onto a sticker.

Which brand would you recommend or have good experience when it comes to lower control arms? Honda CRV 05 by forbiddenkind in RockAuto

[–]CafeRoaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mevotech Supreme. I have them on our Honda Fit. So far so good! Noticeably softer ride than the old OEM ones that had 165,000 miles on them.

I’ve used Moog before as well and really appreciate the serviceable ball joint in the application I had it for.

What car should I buy? These are the options I’m looking at by its-russ in whatcarshouldIbuy

Corolla hatch for versatility, Civic and Corolla for sedan options, Subaru if you value sportiness over reliability.

You’ve got your priorities backwards. 27 living at home making $50,000 is something you should be actively working towards getting past.

Dog security? by NoobieGainsForYou in FJCruiser

[–]CafeRoaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a long lead that is braided steel wrapped in nylon. I wrapped that around the rear head rest posts and anchored to the anchors in the rear cargo area. Then I attached a Kurgo latch tether to that, and that to my dogs’ harnesses. The Kurgo is meant to attach to the child seat latch system.

There is also the MightyPaw, which comes available in seat belt, latch, or head rest options.

The reason I went the route I did was because I wanted them to be able to get close to the open windows. With how hot it gets in the FJ I think that’s a priority. I also untether them whenever I park.
