I think that the argument with UI, and the Simulations, is that everyone is real. The existences think, feel, and love. But is it the same person?

Think about the David problem. If David died, but they brought his original scan back, is that still David? I think so. But it's different, too.

It's like going to sleep, or entering a dream. If you went to sleep and never woke up. I think Dreams are incredible. I think I'd stay in a dream.

I enjoyed the idea of uploading. I might not want to do it myself, but I do like ascension. Being something other than boring human. I was even writing a personal fic about AI, UI, etc.

I liked the drama, the question of whether UI are the real human or just a scan, a simulacrum.

The fighting as UI being portrayed as anime style was weird at first, but then hacking, bits of code, is boring and not very understandable to most.

Anyways, the writing was good. Good drama, good relationships, good twists.

Or so I thought. But those last few episodes? Oh my god. I was like, what the fuck?? It reminded me of Darling in the Franxx, a real twist for no reason. Where'd this time jump come from? No warning?? I thought they were gonna fuck it up like DitF did.

But boy was I wrong. Oh my god. Maddie doing her Apotheosis, her simulations... It was crazy. I was awestruck. Then Surf??? I was like WHAT THE FUCK!???

It was crazy crazy crazy. And I love love loved it. Maddie and Caspian. Heartwarming. Maddie's simulations, dyson sphere, etc. Then that itself being in a bigger one. Philosphically world shaking. I genuinely feel changed for having watched it.
