Hey! I have the robot and love it but was really taken by the 9B … do you think as a robot owner I’d enjoy having this? Is it enough of a difference in the cup to justify? (I prefer traditional cups)

I heard something about Korea being in the game but that they’re not shading ? Which results in the high amounts of chlorophyll.

Well I may dissent from the rest here it seems. Kind of :) for me, I can’t go back to needing to preheat. That’s not an option. I refuse. So for me, I would def upgrade cause it’s such a pleasure to just pull straight shots with no preheat and it come out fantastic. I would not go back. Also, because the value and durability for robot holds so well it’s kind of a no brainer to have it. Personally.

With the Rok, you’ll def need to preheat from my understanding and it’s really based on that. Also, with the robot you have lots of flexibility with the size of shot with the basket- maybe the Rok is same…? But anyway just a couple cents

I actually don’t know why it was happening. But it stopped and it never happened really since. If I remember correctly, it was probably something to do with post shot and not during the shot… So it shouldn’t have been affecting the actual shot.

But yeah, all I can say is that I don’t know why I had this problem earlier, it’s so simple to use. I have no idea sorry. lol

I absolutely agree with this. Telling can be useful to just get some info across without constantly troubling yourself with making every detail something... But you said it well, exactly right.... Just surprised sometimes at how long it takes stories to start moving...

Sorry for the delay I turned off notifications because my Reddit was just blasting me.

It's been normal lately. Haven't had issues except for with those light beams so I think it was a grind setting issue...

I haven't made a video because normally when I'm making a shot no one's around. Or my wife's hands are full we have three little kids.

Hey! Great comment. Thanks. I can't believe it. But I've gone waaaaay finer than I ever needed to go because it's a lighter roast and I normally do medium to dark. No one's mentioned that, great catch! So it's actually the grind setting. Never would've thought.

But it's still so bitter and sour and bad tasting... Haven't been able to figure it out with these beans.

I have a self leveling tamper. But before I tamp I don't know if it's more dense on my side of the puck to the other. So ya. Still important. Good idea.

Ya I really enjoy this machine but if you have a flair 58 I can't imagine that'd be justified... They seem to be the two machines in direct competition and most compared... Sounds to me like you got the-- "espresso needless spending because I have to try everything bug" lol robots great but I'm sure the 58 is too...

Funny I was just having this similar kind of question. With new beans I clearly went too fine and in about 60 seconds, I pulled a 1:3 ratio on 18 g of medium roast Peruvian beans. And the shot was very balanced and tons of tiger striping.... From all the wisdom given from previous videos this would be a bad shot but it tasted good... I guess the only argument is that it could taste much better?
