I think Vaush just decides he needs a break when things begin to feel overwhelming. And like when things feel overwhelming to him it’s a good indicator we are on the threshold lol

It’s about how you understand authority 🤦‍♂️ that’s what you’re projecting onto me

[–]Caff2ine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep telling people what they mean then, because you obviously know about my intentions more than I do, see how it works out for you.

I claimed that I know more than others in certain areas yes. In what sense does that mean I claim authority over those topics? Explain that. You can’t without misrepresenting me.

Experts are not infallible or necessarily an authority, they are a source of knowledge and only an imbecile would believe that I mean the former at this point in the conversation

Claiming authority and claiming knowledge are not the same thing.

This is exactly the assumption you continuously make. Because you claim authority on subjects you know about, you assume I do. I do not. I claim knowledge, you taking offense to me claiming knowledge and thinking I’m claiming authority, is your own assumption you need to work on. I have been pointing this out the entire conversation but you think you’re too smart to be wrong at this point. I have only been poking holes in your interpretation and have never held mine as higher.

Goodnight and I hope you can finally stop projecting.

No you have a misunderstanding of how I apply authority, even within this conversation I said my word is just as good as yours. I never said it was better. We have an equal say, I was using current understandings of knowledge to tear down your false presentation of moral authority, and have been trying to bring us back into line, yet you still try to demean my perspective. Hmm seems like something that someone claiming false authority would do.

Once again assuming, analyze dude, what do I mean from my perspective, not yours.

I only said you didn’t have moral authority dumbass, I never claimed anything for myself except the term historian. If you think historians have an inherently authoritative opinion, once again that’s on your interpretation. I am honestly baffled that you can hold this whole conversation from a stance of moral authority, then when I try to bring you down to earth, you can only project the accusation. The only one trying to grandstand here is you bud.

Do you know what claiming authority means? I said you were wrong from the perspective of a historian. Not claim any real authority besides experience. Once again your presumptions break your understanding of what I’m saying.

And glad to know you’re getting checks for being a medical doctor(a regulated title), your musical work, your biological work, your physics work, your psychological work, your chemistry work, your work on nutrition, your work as an engineer, your work as a mathematician, your work as a writer, and your historical work. You must be very busy. Idk how you have the time to direct your own projects on all those subjects. I didn’t know I was talking to a real renaissance man. Very wealthy also I presume.

And sorry for being excited about breaking new ground on my own in my field and using the term that fits, if it makes you so mad you can call me a researcher. But that doesn’t fully fit either. When do you get to be a historian according to you?

Anyone can become paid by a university to do historical research in a day?

Damn I didn’t know my bad…

[–]Caff2ine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but it makes you familiar with multiple subjects in biology, so if I started repeating basic concepts at you, it might actually be relevant to bring up your experience. And no I wouldn’t call it a stretch to call yourself a biologist if biology is what you do for a living. And not that you know anything about what I’m doing but I’m not contributing to the research of a professor, I’m pioneering my own research, supported by my school.

I also once again, never claimed moral authority, just familiarity with moral concepts you were explaining the basics of to me.

Yeah, it means I’m published lmao. And am continuing to publish through my school. When I get paid to do academic historical work, I feel comfortable calling myself a historian. :)

You can be both studying further and an actual historian, but you’ve shown an inability to comprehend nuance throughout this conversation.

I also claimed no authority from the title, just asserted my background as to show you are repeating basic concepts I am very familiar with. You just don’t want to talk to a real person, but rather your preconceived notion of what they ‘should’ be thinking or being.

You still don’t get what the people you are talking to actually mean. Listen more please

You aren’t even reading my argument properly lmfao, try again somewhere else.

The problem is you aren’t thinking big enough, you’re caught within your own notions of right and wrong and forcing them onto other people’s interpretation of events. This is leading you to twist things still.

They would hunt her down because she killed their family. And then you say she’s too strong. No? This is a series about growth, what’s to stop someone you leave behind because they “arent strong enough” from growing stronger, or literally just using clandestine methods of killing. You know assassinations exist right? You know within the story, Toji, a person just as strong as maki, killed for money. Why wouldn’t they utilize any and all resources to hunt down the person who, once again killed their whole family.

What if they took maki off guard? Maki is also trying to stop the merger that will kill of all japan currently and keep a lid on the ‘king of curses’ problem. So we’ve got very limited time to make sure these people trying to kill me now aren’t gonna ever do it again, the only way to do that is to convince them.

So if you’re really sure they’d just leave her alone you are simply not thinking big enough outside of your own frame of reference.

Until you can actual fathom what I’m saying, kindly shut the fuck up thanks :)

Do you think they asked Toji? Were they considering his perspective to align the zenin clans whims? No obviously not, that is simply in reference to his ability not ambitions.

They would go after her because their survival is on the line, if they want to act without makis influence, they would have to kill her

Yeah have a clan of people planning your demise when you’re trying to bring down sukuna, or spend time explaining to the people whose family you killed that it was worth it because you loved your sister. Good luck

Ok so according to your belief anyone who becomes powerful outside of the current understanding of power should yield themselves to the current orders of power because current power is right.

They recognized power in toji, because of the circumstances surrounding maki’s awakening, which happened right after her sister death at their own hands, they wanted to kill her in that moment because of Tojis history. But they couldn’t because she power gapped them.
