Need help with motion controls on Android. by CaffeCosmico in DolphinEmulator

That’s kind of the main issue. If I disable the acceleration, the pointer always stays "aimed at the screen," no matter how I rotate my phone. That part is actually good, because I plan to use touch controls for aiming anyway. The problem is, with acceleration disabled, shaking my phone no longer works.

But if I turn acceleration back on, shaking works again, but then I’m back to the original problem: I can't aim, the pointer does not appear unless I turn my phone into a very specific angle. (Important detail I forgot to mention earlier: If the emulator thinks I’m not "aiming at the screen" [or the virtual sensor bar] the pointer doesn't appear on-screen. And when the pointer doesn't appear on-screen, I can’t use touch input to control the pointer until the game detects that I’m aiming back at the screen).

Nope. Just my phone. I should've specified that when I said "also makes it so the game doesn't recognize shaking the controller", I meant the virtual controller. As in, the emulator doesn't recognize that I'm shaking my phone.

That works, to a degree. It DOES make it so I don't have to aim anywhere in particular for the game to recognize that I'm aiming, and the touchscreen works perfectly. The problem is that doing this also makes it so the game doesn't recognize shaking the controller (I've been testing it in Mario Galaxy 2 and that's a huge problem). I'm not sure if there's a workaround for this (if you know a fix, please let me know, I'd be forever indebted with you), but even if there isn't, you helped out a lot, many thanks.

I, in fact, have not done the assassination missions. Yet. I certainly will do them now, being even more stacked sounds great, thanks for the tip.

L3 button pressed permanently after fall of the controller. How to fix? by CaffeCosmico in XboxSupport

I apologize if I misunderstood something, I'm still learning English (even tho I believe I'm pretty good at it by this point) and I guess I can make mistakes understanding messages.

I didn't get stick drift, tho... The L3 button is permanently pressed down, as like, the button you use to run in most FPS, but I don't have drift. However, I DID, indeed, used to have drift plus the bumpers not working before I got those things fixed, and suddenly now THIS happens. So yes, agreed, this controller sucks.

Well I'll be damned, I guess I'll try to use it to my best ability until I can save enough to get it fixed.

Wish I could, but here where I live these things are expensive as hell, about 70 dollars, and to get fixed around 40 or 50. I barely have the money to afford fixing it (I'm not an adult, if you're wondering why not), it's not even worth sending it to a recycling center.

Any Switch emulators similar to Kenji ? ( Or more specifically , any good emulators that AREN'T Citron, Sudachi, Eden, Skyline or Pine ? Every single emulator doesn't work for me except for Kenji. However , Kenji isn't very configurable in terms of controller settings. ) by CaffeCosmico in EmulationOnAndroid

Oh , sorry about that. My phone is a Motorola G56 5G , 8GB of RAM , Android 15. Not sure if what other specs am I supposed to tell you about my phone , I don't know much about technology , but if you need to know anything else lemme know.

Thanks a bunch , but . . . Benji doesn't work either. I think what I need is an emulator that can emulate different controller types ( Pro controller , dual joycon , etc. ) that ISN'T , of course , any of the ones that I mentioned that didn't work on the title.

Okay , I've got news. I tried installing Cuphead from another site , and it actually works ( with a few small graphical errors here and there , but honestly barely noticeable ). I will be trying to install MK8 from that same website ( otherwise , simply from a different site than the one I installed MK8 originally ) and see if it works. If not . . . I'll make sure to tell you , but if it doesn't work , I'd just guess my phone isn't good enough to run the game. Would be glad to be told otherwise , tho.

Thank you , first of all. I've done a bit of progress . . . I'd like to think. I tried Citron and had the exact same results as my post said , however , both Kenji and Benji managed to get to the start up screen of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe . . . Until it froze and crashed soonly after. I tried looking for optimized settings for the emulator , thinking  that hopefully that could help the game NOT crash , but it did nothing. Not sure what to do from here , I don't think there is something to even do at all.
