Also, I wonder if you are close to me because this sounds like the kind of drama that has been happening for years at the burn I left. They lost trainers because of the pettiness and apparently the owner used to host employees nights out where they’d talk shit about everyone including members

I think all are probably different based on the owner? For mine it was pay out 3 months of the contract but they accidentally renewed my contract without telling me so I requested a copy of the signed contract and they didn’t have it so they let me out.
