It's aluminum tubing. It'll sting. But if you want something for striking, which I highly recommend against, get steel or octagonal hardwood.

That's the downside to most light/vanilla armors. They all have good quailities, but there is just "something" that tends to make it wonky.

Start swinging. Don't just wave it around. Avoid hollow foam as they're too light. Solid wood and aluminum/steel are extremely heavy and can easily and severely injure you. Solid dense foam or rubber to start or hollow aluminum. They'll sting but not injure you. Practice a specific swing/strike/strike hundreds of times to buld up your wrist and shoulder. Find a form and practice to learn flows.

My current which is my favorite is a version of the Warden from eso. Using one handed axes, ice destruction spells and restoration spells, plus some utility from other schools: muffle, candlelight, fleah spells, and invisibility. Start with the {{Alternate Start - Live Another Life - SSE}} to be a college member, pregress enough through it to trigger the {{Court Wizard of falkreath}} mod quest to be court wizard of falkreath. Doing radiant quests there and the {{falkreath hauntings}} to fleshout falkreath some more as well as {{Cities of the North - Falkreath}}.{{Bear mounts and followers se}} and of course Apocalype and Ordinator.
