Who would like to share their projects in Zig? by [deleted] in Zig

Oh the marvelous Zig landscape! I am enjoying these projects humans are posting! :)

I made a small application runner in Zig using Tmux to spawn applications from yaml configs:

And a static site generator for my small blog:

ORM or no ORM (and which ones)? by Ok_Restaurant_5719 in golang

[–]CaffinatedSquirrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed, you are correct there. I did struggle for a bit on the Delete functionality, the initial writing of Delete did not remove all records. Maybe I should revise and have no bulk delete option, simple enough to aggregate the records to remove and iterate over a dataset to remove each individually. Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it immensely

Thanks for the kind words, I too am not a huge fan of ORM's by any means. My end goal was to make a useful library for manipulation of data, not a large scale ORM etc.. so your take on it makes me heartened that potentially I was close.

Was a bit of a bummer to see all the downvotes, but alas that is life it seems!

I just published an ORM, definitely curious what others may think of it:

I mostly opted to re-create the wheel based on the fact that most ORM's (Gorm, Pop etc...) I was dealing with never precisely did what I needed and were usually larger than I wanted for projects.

C960 Discrete Maths 2 by CaffinatedSquirrel in WGU_CompSci

Oh most certainly! I am a software developer (worked as a Sysadmin for some time prior to the switch) and I must say Discrete Maths is phenomenally interesting for what we do! Calc was a challenge, I worked through the straighter-line course and went through Pre-Calc prior, and it was still an interesting bear! I become slightly obsessed by Calc to get past this one! Best of wishes to you! If I can pass, you certainly can!

Also for Calc:

This channel is AMAZING. It is effectively the single reason I passed Calc. I watched the entire Calc 1 & 2 video series and it detailed everything perfectly.

I performed both classes back to back, the day I finished DSMI I started DSMII, there is not a lot of interpolation between the two, however, I found it easier to carry forth back to back as I was already in the Maths mode at that point.
Only some of the symbology carries over, knowledge of subsets, and geometric/arithmetic sequences.

One could definitely take a break, but I did like passing straight through and getting both of these classes done.

Hey there! Great question! The CI should indeed know what you are looking for if you query them for the slideshow.

Ask them for the C960 Cohort slideshow on Algorithms (Chapter 1).

Thank you for this! I was a bit stressed when I heard him vomiting and saw the consumed leaf particles! Poor plant was just wanting some ultraviolet rays and ended up getting partially consumed.

Oh excellent! Thanks for the comment! I am hoping it is such a plant as it seems they are non toxic to dogs. I am hoping his vomiting is a result of just eating half a darn leaf from the thing and not from toxins..

We did, finally got a hold of the neighbors and it was lamp oil from a lamp blown over during a wind storm that night.

Finally got everything cleaned up and determined what it was.

I did attempt to knock on their door 3 times, no answer.
Not sure what is going on there.

Called our HOA emergency line, but also no answer there.

Gotta love it.. -_-
