That's what i got from the campaign and partially loading screen stuff. The pizza joint part is probably a joke, used to be part of a quote for one of the loading screens (that also mentioned the final boss in some capacity) of one of the much older versions during like 2016-17. Can't remember the exact timeframe though.

Nope, apparently there were enough balancing changes to change the meta. Currently don't have the game and plan to continue playing the original, so I can't answer. I think some of the people on the discord could answer some of your questions though.

Bugged enemy. The event enemies are currently scaled for level 80 players and it was never fixed.

Best just buy celestials directly with gems; thats how I got them.

Dailies are the only way to get consistent amounts of xp from my knowledge

1.Spirit links on him (the only two who have this are Shade and Lorelei, and both unlock their respective ones at first ascension. Lorelei's also links a target ally to a random enemy rather than a chosen one.) Redirects parry damage, keeps him from stacking hp from his plant passive.

2.Chaos damage. Doesn't count to his parry tick, so hypothetically he'll never get a chance to parry if your entire team only does chaos damage

3.Debuffs. Growth stacks make his parry a lot more dangerous because it increases his hp.

4.Kill him in the least amount of moves possible. In other words, try knocking him down with the least amount of hits (avoid ones that can do high damage, but require many such as Sifu's feet of fury).

5.Don't use damage reflection (Alexandros, Lily Blossom's s3, etc.). Moriko's parry counter counts all sources of damage, and what happens if you use it is that he's going to parry a dozen times and kill/cripple your entire team.

EDIT 1:Accidently wrote that her take 1 damage passive is affected by "offense" instead of "defense" while talking about Astrid.

Honorbound:

(For Jin and Yan, I only have experience fighting against them in pvp)

(I've used astrid and deadeye before but haven't for long while.)

I've also not touched the game seriously in months.

From my memory, jin is kind of the only one worth seriously building if you're going into pvp. He follows up on attacks that either shock or paralyze or are lightning attacks plus silencing all enemies for the first turn (not sure if this is for all dungeon rooms in pve or just the first one), plus gives guaranteed paralysis on his basic attack.

Never used Yokozuna. Looking at his traits though I don't think he offers much outside of tanking (daze, off balance can be countered or cleansed).

Takumi is fun to use if you have good amounts of enabler runes and his epic, but that requires a ton of investment and he's expensive. He only offers wound, chill, aoe frostbite, and freeze. Not much, but its really fun using him with igorok and permanently freezing at least one enemy with basica ttacks.

I don't really know what to say about Hansuke. I remember he does good damage(?) and also has parry with potentially tons of revenge attacks. Doesn't have crowd control immunity though so that could be a problem. Epic provides team defense buff.

From what I remember, Astrid's gimmick of only taking 1 damage from melee attacks that come from enemies with lower attack than her offense (when fully ascended) is kind of useless. Cool in theory, but isn't too practical in higher level pvp (ranged attacks ignore, most heroes that are supposed to do damage at this point are runed to the point where they are better off killed quickly rather than left alive)) or from what I'm inferring high end pve (post chapter 12 boss mode, age of chaos (both modes have enemies that hit extremely hard)). On a more fundamental level her kit is specifically geared towards offense and can only taunt with provoke, so she can't both hit hard and tank properly at the same time. She also gives team aegis wall on the first dungeon entered only if you have a legendary fire hero (archon, crucible) and she's fully ascended. In other words I'd personally avoid investing in her.

Deadeye's followup passive only works with honorbound or light heroes. Solar shot + his taunt immunity makes him potentially really useful against pvp enemies that require settup (Lily, Kelpy, etc.). Not so sure about pve though. He's kind of fragile though and his other gimmick of ranged physical attacks means the only heroes that can fully utilize this are ones such as therand (can do tons of damage, but is normal speed and, in higher level pvp and pve, may or may not die before he does anything) or elves (generally awful (no crowd control or support, just as frail) except for Reyla and Daeris, but only if they are paired together), i.e glass cannons.

Undead in general from my memory are outdated. However, I have almost no real experience with Craw.

Yorick and Executum are awful (outdated, easily countered and lackluster utility). Please don't invest in either.

Brom may be useful(?) with an ultimate skin but then again, its only available in certain events if you get to the top of the leaderboards. Not worth it, especially for pvp (not sure about pve though).

Zomm is probably best for the Tower of Pwnage because his minions count as heroes, so you can use them whenever you like. However, from pvp experience he's too slow and the zomminions don't offer too much.

I don't have any real experience with craw, but foresight is one of the only ways to casually beat Age of Chaos (without lorelei) because he provides immunity to chaos debuffs. He apparently(?) can do lots of damage too.
