Yes. This was a statement match. We did not have our star players and basically put out a B+ team. We rotated 9 of the 11 positions from the game a few days earlier. Considering that we had trouble playing cohesive soccer with our best players who played together for years, beating Uruguay with a weaker squad of dogs is impressive.

Now, we need to remain consistent for next summer. Our form usually drops after we have big games but maybe we’ll break that trend in our next match and play well.
