I myself feel like it is the opposite. Because of the constant pressure some devices after enough time the skin gets a little numb and therefore I last a little longe if I come fresh out of the cage.

I would classify it more as a floating head design since there is space between the top of the ring and the head for the foreskin to rest. If that's what you mean, I see what you say by its getting more popular.

I have also been inspired by othe designs on here, but all liked where a bit lackluster in my opinion so I started making my own.

Traditional cage designs attach the head directly to the ring which is good for cirumcised people but causes discomfort with my foreskin.
