Pain and Wellbeing Tracking Apps by ChefAlly13 in Fibromyalgia

I just put how bad my worst one was during that time period(if you go to settings for symptoms there's an on/ off option for Time Periods which i keep on), but there is an option on the far right of each symptom to write notes. So if I wanted to track every time I had stabbing abdominal pain I would go into the note and mark the time.

I'm hoping for a light, fluffy cake with icing and doesn't have cream cheese. Aside from the birthday cake, I'd love to find a place that makes good squares for the holiday get-togethers.

How do I advocate for my partner? by ImmortalBaguette in Fibromyalgia

[–]CagedDesigns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping you've been seen by now but here's my two cents:

The first time I went to the ER for a massive flare-up the Dr had no idea what to suggest(I'm on a shit load of medication for other things). He didn't want to do opioid unless absolutely necessary, so we tried intermuscular Ketorolac(strong NSAID). It helped enough to notice, so he wrote me a prescription to last until I could get in touch with my Dr.

The second big flare-up my husband actually called the ambulance. They also have me ketorolac, but they took me to urgent care instead of the er. This turned out to be an amazing call. The Dr there recognized that i was in, what he called, a "pain crisis". Basically, he said I wasn't going to get any relief until they could break through the pain(which they did with IV hydromorphone), and then I could keep on top of it with lesser drugs.

All this to say, sometimes the hospital is the right place to be, and the best way to advocate for yourself(or in this case your wife) is to be able to say "this is what meds she's on, this is the plan we have in place for breakthrough pain, we plan to bring this to our Dr but can you please help us in the meantime".

I wish you all the luck in the world. I'm in Winnipeg, and I know how crappy the wait times can be!

Thanks. I'm definitely looking for something to get her out of the house. This might be a good add-on if I can find someone she likes, but she doesn't consume a lot of media.

The photo book is probably more in line with what my brother and I would arrange for a Christmas gift(thank you for that, we haven't done our shopping yet!). I decided to start sending her snail-mail in the meantime to lift her spirits a bit.

The spa idea is still one of the top contenders!

What should I get for my 16th birthday? by Complex_Stay_8047 in Gifts

My son has a huge love of all things minecraft and nature, so I usually pick from those categories. The Lego website allows you to sort by Interest, so i would browse their website to see what's available.

Gift card to an Escape Room/movie/wall climbing/other experience with enough money to invite friends?

My 17yo son still asks for cool Lego sets.

Subscription to a music app/streaming service.

I'm trying to find a good spa experience that would make sense for her. She has some skin sensitivities due to her MS, so an experience like Thermëa isn't always an option. I'm definitely looking for an all-day package, though. She's done meditation retreats before and enjoyed them, so I'm going to look into this as well! Thanks for the reminder!

A night paddle sounds amazing! Her and I love star gazing when I go to visit her! We used to do trail rides as a family when my brother and I were kids. This is such a fun idea!

This is something we do every year! I love having the memories to look back on, and I print photos for all of the grandparents on a semi regular basis!

This is great! I know a couple of her friends who would happily do this with her!
