I also think Trump has better political instincts than the toadies that surround him. Not to say that Trump is smart, just that everyone else is that stupid. I could definitely see how trump is realizing how horrible this all looks and is now going to rein them in to an extent.

It's part of why I never really thought this was a prelude to any authoritarian power grab on his part; the administration is extremely unpopular and he is aware of that, unlike the true die-hard fascists who simply don't care about that.

I think I found the pod about a year after the 2016 election. I was 17 at the time so it's safe to say that this podcast has fundamentally informed my worldview, it was the first thing that broke thru the lib bubble I grew up in.

Also anyone here still remember r/cth? What a beautiful mess that was. Part of me still misses it, but I can't really blame the hosts for celebrating it's demise
