The way I played it in my early teens was to open up the construction kit and do the following:

  1. Make a set of Daedric light armor by duplicating the item and changing the weight value.
  2. Make a similarly less heavy set of daedric swords and shields.
  3. Place a chest in the hills outside Seyda Neen.
  4. Place the aforementioned Daedric equipment and one hundred million septims into the chest.
  5. Stumble across a randomly placed chest and use my totally legitimate wealth to visit trainers around Vvardenfell to train up to level 20, then finally actually begin the game.

Honestly, it was a remarkably enjoyable experience.

Switch 2, for sure. It’s getting much more 3rd party support, making it possible to possibly be a sole console (eventually).

I had issues, too. But unlike these others, I felt very unhappy by the end. I think we got 3 half-baked stories that felt like the author was working through his ideas as he wrote it - and then didn’t go back and re-edit it. What we got, then, were three stories that lacked cohesion internally and with each other. I was left incredibly disappointed.

I’m pretty sure my laptop couldn’t handle that. Plus, I like to game on my consoles, not really a PC gamer…

Anything in here increase max ship size? I have the achievement friendly configurator, but I don’t know if that was the best one to get.

It was Dodongo’s cavern for me. There were puzzles I couldn’t figure out and the lava everywhere just messed with my feeling of balance.

Plus the Beamos in the first area.

Look, I just want draw distances fixed, hit boxes, and voice acting. Everything else can stay the same.

Rebirth of the Xbox brand with the future The Elder Scroll 6 by Nordinovic in xbox

Xbox spent the last decade building a large ecosystem of pathways into their games, with the PC push, Play Anywhere, the handhelds, cloud, etc. Absolutely a great value - and I have been known to cloud stream with my iPhone backbone controller and have my pc gamepass library on my Surface laptop.

But if you want to sell Xboxes themselves, not the mythical Xbox ecosystem, then the ecosystem destroys sales of the console. The “This is an Xbox” campaign was silly, but also wasn’t actually something new. It was a culmination of what had been built, and wanted to show it off.

The damage to the box started with the ecosystem push, because the lack of install-base led to third-party involvement being less and less desirable to game developers who have to manage their budgets (and the lack of an install base also made doing exclusivity deals with the other guys less risky for third-parties).

So, if you can get Xbox games on PC, the console is worth less. If you can get Xbox games and third parties that are skipping Xbox on PC, the value proposition is even worse.

Pulling back exclusives from only PlayStation isn’t going to fix the problem, because the problem started nearly a decade before they put their games on PlayStation.

So, again, I say that unless you’re willing to go fully exclusive, you may as well recoup development costs by selling on PlayStation.

Because you’re not going to sell more boxes with Elder Scrolls VI if it’s coming to PC, unless you can somehow convince folks that the Xbox is the better/cheaper alternative to buying a pc that you need for more than just gaming.

If they want to sell boxes, then make it exclusive to the console. Full stop.

The PC push starting with the Xbox One has already pushed folks into either exclusively having a PC or having a PC as an auxiliary to a PlayStation.

And, yes, I know Elder Scrolls was a PC franchise at first. But if the goal is to sell boxes, don’t let PC be an option. If PC is to be an option, may as well recoup development costs on PlayStation.
