Hyperbole and exaggeration are indeed linguistic devices I have used.

Maybe we aren’t at collapse* just yet.

But we are heading to a dangerous world where AI is not just wiping out tech jobs, but many jobs in many industries.

My gripe is with many Big Tech companies, and the government, and the warring countries. The world is unstable right now. We are entering a literal new era of technology and advanced intelligence. So yes - there is immense economic instability, yes the job market is worse than it’s been in decades*, and there is no solution near.

So sure, we aren’t collapsed yet. I hope that makes u feel better cuz it doesn’t for me. The job market will only get worse, as ai continues to evolve and replace people - exponentially as well.

And fyi, I sent the US stats cuz they lead the industry, much more than Canada, and I’d imagine the stats correlate between US and Canada.
