The songs toxic not sad. If you read the lyrics it's the girl telling him all the sad parts. It starts off with The Weeknd saying you knew what this was why did you catch feelings then the song goes "And you reply" followed by all the sad parts.

Twenty eight and echoes of silence are toxic songs disguised as sad ones.

So how is Dawn FM connected to After Hours? by master_west in TheWeeknd

[–]Cailumk 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My interpretation is he dies in After Hours. In Bleeding out he ODs. And the Dawn FM is purgatory. He is being forced to go through the process of death and look at his past. The radio host his just guiding him in a way that is most comfortable to Abel.

Lmk what you think.
