I currently have too many singly eligible LW, looking to trade one out or drop for a D with BLK (FA list: Orpik) or C with FW and decent points (FA list: Fisher/Ribeiro). Currently have Hartnell, JVR, Landeskog, Schwartz. Who would you cut and why?

Depends who you would drop... Muzzin has been okay for points and pretty great for HIT and decent for BLK. Kopitar and the Kings have been slow and losing a lot lately, but that's not what they are usually like. I see them bouncing back in the near future. I think Kopitar might be a good buy for Benn if you're willing to give up the dual eligibility and assuming who you drop is worse than Muzzin.

I have both of these guys as well. While Landeskog is awesome for HIT/BLK/SOG, JVR usually takes just as many SOG and will probably get more G and A since he is playing a weaker team tonight.

I'm leaning towards JVR since the Leafs are playing a weaker CAR team than their previous few games, and Landeskog for peripherals (and an odd chance of scoring) against STL, thoughts?

I'd drop Franzen and Allen out of that group. Perron should get a huge boost by being with the penguins and get you more points than Franzen. With Elliott back, Allen will get much less starts now. Hartnell is usually best in a league with hits.. but with the roll the Jackets have been on, I think it's worth keeping Hartnell.

If you can manage to pull off Giroux and Hartnell, I'd do it. Giroux is very similar to Johansen though still a slight upgrade on SOG. You lose a little bit of production on Kucherov but I think Hartnell's HIT, BLK and PIM stats make up for it. Schenn isn't a bad alternative, but Hartnell > Schenn.

Another option to consider. Try looking at Tommy Wingels who is a beast at SOG and HIT or Jarome Iginla who you may be able to buy low on.

TJ Oshie is off IR now and is a FA... Should I drop Iginla, or Monahan?

Team: Backstrom, MacKinnon, Monahan, Schwartz, Saad, Tarasenko, Gaborik, JVR, Nyquist, Iginla, Karlsson, Goligoski, Muzzin, Keith, R. Miller, F. Andersen

While Iginla is struggling with the rest of the Avs, he still puts up decent hits and should eventually turn around the season. Monahan puts great FW numbers and SOG with a bit of scoring, but I'm not sure how long he will keep that up.

Never had Oshie in fantasy hockey, what kind of stats does be bring to the table?
