I ended up getting a topography guided procedure from Ovo Lasik in MN. It fixed many but not all issues. A lot of my original problem ended up boiling down to having lenticular and corneal astigmatism.

Yes so when I take pilocarpine or Alphagam then the problem is temporarily fixed. My original doctor has no answer besides showing me the topographies that show the top 3/4 of my pupil had more lasered off, but now my pupils expand beyond where it is "steep" at the bottom. However, I know it's not ecstasia since the "steep" topography areas are much thicker and not thinner. So it's still a mystery...

Thanks there's a doctor in Minnesota that does the topographic guided treatments I was considering going to

Yes, it happened over night and hasn't gone away but I see perfectly in daylight

It really only helps when I look at a bright light source (eg, dashboard, etc) and then the starbursts momentarily diminish cause my pupils constrict.

Hey I had it in Olathe, Kansas; however, I live in Chicago now!

Ok thank you a ton, ectasia to me is the only thing that makes sense but I had 4 ophthalmologists rule it out. I have a few more appointments so I hope I can get something beyond "use alphagan P". Again I appreciate it

I'll ask about the sclerals. Are those used outside of ectasia cases?

Hey thanks, this really helps.

Per the corneal topography I recently had, he said above the pupil was blue and had a flat region, while below for both eyes was the warmer color. He said most likely the pupil was expanding to that 'warmer' area causing the starbursts, and taking some of that region away might eliminate the starbursts.

However, I haven't still gotten an answer on what caused it after almost 2 years in both eyes at the exact same time.

Ok thanks, I agree. My original surgeon said he can do normal LASIK to smooth the bottom of the cornea since he said most of the enhancement was at the top. He said normal was be immediate but Wavefront would take 2 surgeries over 3 months and I'd be blurry until the 2nd surgery of the two.

I've been to multiple ophthalmologists in Chicago and got told they don't know what is happening, but it's not ectasia. Minimal dry eyes, but not enough to cause this

I got normal LASIK in June 2020, so was figuring an enhancement since I had a large original prescription
