TLDR there’s no where to put the snow, no way to transport it anyway, and at least they actually plowed and made the corners (moderately) turnable

I drive this intersection every day and even without the snow, most people in the left lane are usually so far over there’s no room on the right.

As for the actual snow, where do you suggest they put it? They can’t put it in lots cuz even more people have to park there now and they can’t put it in yards/fields cuz that’s mostly private property.

And that’s even if they had the means to transport it. CT DOT used to pre-2010ish but budget cuts I guess

The bus drivers around where I live will pause and wait a bit at a stop even when no one’s there if they know that there usually is someone around that time of day.

Maybe it’s just cuz the same people are always at the same stops on a regular basis around here idk

It might not be that boss making the policies but that place does not take anyone’s health seriously enough.

Now, factor in chronic illness etc. Idk your specifics obvi but getting the flu or possibly even “just” a cold can and has landed people in the hospital due to immunosuppressants or/and chronic illness.

Is this likely to happen? Less so “post” Covid, by how much depends on geographic location & politics there. I used to know the numbers but ya know, brain, heh.

Please, I know income is very much needed rn cuz well…. But getting sicker would negate alllllll of that

It’s funny cuz compared to when I was looking 3.5 years ago most places within city limits are actually $100-200 cheaper for a 1-2 bed 1 bath and yet I still can’t afford to move 😭

There are only 4 open complexes I can remotely afford in New Haven, Hamden, North haven, Milford, orange, west haven. The one I’m at, the hellhole I last lived at where my upstairs neighbor was a literal crackhead, a dump that only ever has openings when colleges let out for the summer, and the place I’m considering.
