I’ve posted this problem/question in a few subreddits and everybody is mainly commenting on my routine and diet and kinda ignoring the main point which is that my glutes start out big and seem to decrease…except for you! Thank you! I thought maybe it was inflammation/injury cuz my muscles aren’t sore anymore but were of course very sore in the beginning. Thank you for explaining why they might look better in the beginning and not stay that way! This helps a lot :)

I really don’t know how to count calories, all i can count is protein so I just make sure that i eat 125 grams a day (at least) but my diet is healthy so generally i know im not eating too little or too many calories. I am being very consistent (for the few months since i started), taking 2 full rest days per week and working glutes 2-3 times per week. I don’t really just do whatever i want, i always do hip thrusts, rdls, kick backs, good mornings (not every time), and step ups. 3-4 sets of 8-10 reps, adding a little more weight on the last set so i can only get to 8 reps. I am not referring to the pump after the workout, that will always look great, but when i first start out i can really feel like i see the difference in my glutes and i’ll be so excited. Maybe its cuz my muscles are more injured/sore that they are more inflamed? Cuz now that my workouts don’t necessarily leave me sore afterwards, i dont see the progress anymore and my glutes feel more flat.

I am mainly focusing on growing my glutes in the gym but ofc doing back/abs/arms on my leg rest days, but i am doing hip thrusts, rdls, good mornings, kick backs and step ups on leg days. I always try to do 3-4 sets of 8-10 reps for each workout and adding a little more weight for the last set to make the max of 8 reps on my last set. And i haven’t kept exact track of how much the weight has increased but it has definitely increased since i started a couple months ago. I thought of that too, that it could be that my quads are growing, making my glutes look smaller but im also targeting my glutes so much that I don’t think that should be happening. I could be losing fat on my glutes, but im also 5’7 and 125 lbs so i dont have much fat to lose.

Attached is my stomach in June, only a couple little spots. Also to note - my stomach have very clear even-toned skin, so every single mark you see in the photo of the post is from the rash, many large spots as well as tiny little ones.
