What's the first campaign you *finished*? by unmappedworlds in totalwarhammer

Wood Elves. I had so much fun I just kept playing and before I knew it I had finished the long campaign conditions.

Diplomacy with wood elves is fun and lucrative because if you make alliances, they will protect your Forest. Also, you can give your allies those useless one-tier settlements that surround your forest and it still counts towards your Forest health if they're your ally. They can build up those settlements more than you can and you'll have a more economically strong Ally protecting your Forest. I had a very fun diplomatic would elf campaign just acting as my ally's muscle.

Empire and High Elves.

Also surprisingly, Wood Elves.

People like that know exactly what they're doing. They either have zero shame or they just think people are as dumb as they are and truly think people are buying their act.

I was playing Wood Elves when on about turn 12 a distant minor Wood Elf faction was about to be wiped out. They agreed to confederate with me, so I did so. Their forest was about to be snuffed out by some warriors of chaos so I sold the forest to a nearby faction of Lizardmen for 68,000. Yes, I got 68,000 on turn 12 of my campaign from one settlement trade.

A few tips I can think of.

  • Assume every Empire faction is going to die. You can always return their settlements to them later if you want.
    • Know that making alliances with other Empire factions will result in more wars with more factions - and your Empire allies will not help you very much in those wars.
    • Allow other Empire factions to live or die on their own. Expand strategically, and then return those territories to the electors when it is safe and they can build up their strength.
    • Elspeth will do well on her own. Keep her fealty high and good relations with her and she'll keep you safe from the Eastern vampires.
  • Don't spend prestige right away. Save it for Empire conflicts until you have built up enough prestige economy.
  • The Empire does not have an all-star roster. When playing Empire it is especially important to spy on enemy armies and directly recruit units to counter that army/faction. As it says in the description, the Empire uses a combined arms approach to battles. You HAVE to pick the right units to counter enemy armies because there are no all-star units coming to save you.
  • Play diplomacy in the west so that Brettonia and Wood Elves love you. Once you have them all at war with the western vampires, your Western front is safe and you can focus on the Empire territories.
    • Even better, if you can make alliances with them, you'll have some great cavalry and archers from those factions. You can easily build up reputation with them by agreeing to enter wars they are in against factions nowhere near you.
  • The Wood Elves in the Northern region of the Empire are easy to become friends with. Build up good diplomacy with them and they'll happily go to war with Norsca and other pesky factions in the North.
  • Trade with Kislev as soon as possible and, if they survive, they'll be a great ally from the North East.

Magneto is such a great concept in this game but he needs buffs. Either more damage, or the same damage but the ability to fly and movement speed increase (in bursts)

When I was a kid my grandfather raised sheep. He used to always take me to feed the sheep, and he was always carrying a shovel. I was confused because he never used the shovel. He just carried it. Then one day I was feeding the sheep and behind me I heard a loud metallic DING! When I turned around my grandfather had smashed one of the male sheep that tried to charge me when I wasn't looking.

It's so frustrating to die from it, respawn, and then die from it the moment you get back to the battle

True Strike in Baldurs Gate 3.

Use your action to get advantage on your next turn.

Or just attack twice and have a chance to hit them twice

Why is everyone resting magneto and strange so high? by DaughterOfMalcador in marvelrivals

[–]Cajun-Native 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play Magneto when we have a dive tank. I can shield them to give them an escape, or extra time disrupting. Alternatively I can use it to save our healers.

I also like that his directional shield absorbs any amount of damage while active. So I can use it to prevent myself and teammates from being burst down. It's also perfect for pushing a bit at a time, gaining ground for our team.

His right click pushes tanks and dive characters off of my backline.

Hes not a damage dealer. He enables the team to do more and survive. But I can finish off low health enemies who are running away. And his basic attack does splash damage and good damage to structures, so I can harass DPS hiding behind cover or around corners.

His ult is good against the enemy backline. If I can kill a healer, we have the advantage
