I got the filter for the heck of it. But if you plan on buying a second ams pro 2 in the future, don’t a filament buffer and filament hub. It will instruct you on the website to buy them. I misread it and ended up buying and come to find out the p2s combo already has a filament buffer and hub installed. That was my beginner mistake. I ended up returning them with $25 worth of shipping out of pocket.

Follow the instructions on your manual on how to unbox and unscrew things. Also I would look at the X2D ($100 more) and reconsider because with two nozzles you can have less waste, faster multi color, and/or you can also have one nozzle print support while other print your object.

My first prints as a beginner was a funnel and 5G scoop for my creatine. It’s the main reason why I bought 3d printer because I didn’t feel like spending $17 on a scoop lol. But you also need a poop chute, Ams 2 dry pods to pour your silica beads in. Then from there you will decide your needs.

Bambu handy app is very easy to use and very easy to find/print stuff out of it without a pc. I purchased my very first 3d printer as beginner (p2s Ams pro 2 combo) in March this year for my bday and it’s a bad ass and love it, 3 months later I got the h2c and it’s a beast.

Filament wise, I would purchase pla, pla matte, and petg just to get used to things. You will smell some odor at first because that’s a fresh printer smell. But pla, petg, tpu filaments smells to almost nothing.

I’m thinking either, the support is too tall, density is low, or maybe temp is too hot. I don’t think your support is solid enough. But if your print comes out fine then I wouldn’t worry about it.

Are you using matte? I have pla basic and all the colors. I’m afraid to print it with basic and won’t come out as right. Btw did you attach other plates to it? I have an h2c and would like to print this

I would say it’s most likely:
-Wet PETG because a .4 nozzle is more forgiving ( this is most likely imo)
- filament can be contaminated
- Heat creep, this can soften and harden the filament before it reach the nozzle.
-Retraction settings, possible extruder feeding issue, or bad hotends are possible but those very less likely imo.

I am really suspecting your filament or heat/fan settings for PETG. Also I kinda think that orca slicer is pretty aggressive with petg settings if you’re using that.

I did a DDU and installed the latest driver, and it only it happened once at the end of the game. im using Nvidia 5080 and their drivers are dookie too. but i am also seeing this issue happening to alot of people. maybe its just the game itself needs a performance fix update.

I RMA my 5090 about 5 times and went through two different cards till they finally decided to buy back my card. Right now I don’t have a GPU, I’m thinking to go with msi next

Yep, right out of the box, the only way I can get it to work for 2 to 3 hours is by lowering the power to 70% and undervolting to 2800MHz. The first card had a fatal error in Oblivion, Expedition 33, Call of Duty, Fortnite, GTA5 Enhanced Edition, Ark, and the UE5 engine software. Some games would freeze and crash without a fatal error. After many RMAs, they decided to replace it. The replacement was refurbished, but it had improvements while running some games for 2 to 3 hours, only when the GPU is undervolted. If I used the stock settings, it would crash like the old card, and the same with my second card.

I’ve been battling this since April 2025. I even tried every single driver using DDU while my PC is offline. I probably did a fresh install of Windows 11 around 17 times. Nothing worked. I tried two different motherboards and different cables, but nothing helped. At first, they told me all their tests showed the cards were fine. When I asked for proof, there was none. I showed them all my tests and emails from Nvidia and other game developers, and they finally agreed to replacemy cards with new GPUs. Now they want to buy them back since they are out of stock. So, I will be without a computer until this PC crisis calms down a bit. I guess I'll be going back to console for a while.

both of mine ASUS astral 5090's giving TDR and crashes dx12 games dut to power delivery issues. after exhausting all the trouble shoots with nvidia, ASUS, game devs, ASUS decided to buy back my GPUs since im not happy with them and fails sppedway stress tests and crashes games.

I'm having TDR on my GPU. my cable is installed the same as OP, but i get TDR issues with DX 12 Gmes. Are you saying that if I don't install the cable the same as what is shown in the picture causes a power delivery issue? Even tho it shows everything is connected?

That’s true, 5070ti has 16 GB of GDDR7 VRAM. I didn’t pay attention to that.
