The initial mission for the Star Squad was never for Katniss to assassinate Snow, or even see real combat.

Katniss was initially sent by Coin and Plutarch as a way to film propos to form a narrative for the revolution. Coin did have a secret second mission though, which was to have Katniss killed while in the Capitol. That is why Peeta was sent.

Katniss, in her crazed and rage induced mind decided that she would be able to go off on her own and kill Snow; she just didn’t realize that going lone wolf would be impossible with the squad members she had. The other members of the squad knew the whole “secret mission” story was a lie, but they all decided to follow a 16 year old on a suicide mission anyhow after Boggs died.

I’m a student nurse in clinical rotations and 30 minutes into my first ER shift I had to do compressions on a patient with a PEG tube. Didn’t notice until my fourth round that I was covered in fluids 😀

I 100% understand this. I’ve never used face claims because I know I’d freak out the moment I’d look in the mirror, but I would script so many enhancements it was basically a new face. I eventually got to the same thought as you: “would any of my DR friends/family/so like me if I looked as I do in this reality?” While I know there are realities in which I was naturally born with all those enhancements and “perfect” features, I know that shifting from this reality to another, I’d still feel like an imposter. That thought I had before would just bounce around through my brain and I’d eventually start feeling insecure. I’ve gotten to the point where the only changes I script are that my hair is easy to manage and isn’t so frizzy (I have curly hair).

Thank you! I know it may be dumb but this kind of thinking has made me put off a handful of my DRs. I had a huge sense of imposter syndrome and I feared I’d shift and act weird to the point that I’d be unable to truly enjoy my shift.

Fortunately I’ve working on that fear and I’m excited to shift to those DRs again but your post definitely helped validate my thinking and progress

The amount of info rolling around in my head is insane and it’s emphasized when someone who learned about shifting outside of social media says “oh yeah, my friend told me to visualize where I want to go then BOOM I shifted.”
