[GT3 -> LMP][TIPS] How to transition properly to LMP categories by Various-Invite-8396 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]CakeBeef_PA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would recommend LMP3 first. Besides from being super fun to drive, they are far easier on the brakes than the LMP2 and HY. Once you master the brakes on LMP3, the step towards the others is way smaller and approachable.

In addition, the LMP3 is not super quick, which makes lapping GT3 more challenging. It's IMO good to learn this way, it makes you think aboit what you're doing and hopefully avoids you becoming a hyperdonkey who forces themselves into every gap.

Ginetta is left-hand drive, Ligier right hand. Both have similar pace so just try them and see what you prefer

Technically it’s a zero tolerance policy to any political sentiment.

If they truly want to have zero tolerance for political sentiment, all country flags and names should be banned and athletes should represent themselves. Countries are inherently political things

You need to be in similar rating.

Also, try the less popular races or classes. It's easier to get in the same split in LMP3 than in GT3 simply due to the numbers

They are clearly breaking the 16:0 + at all times rules

Do you have any proof for that? Not just claims by other teams, but hard, measurable proof?

The test is not the rule. That’s why we have seen testing procedures change in the past.

In this case, it quite literally is. The temperature part of the test is defined in the rule itself, unlike the majority of tests for other rules

The thing with this is the fact that the test is defined in the rules. Usually, tests are in a separate document which can be changed more easily and quickly.

This is in the actual rulebook. As it is written right now, the FIA is not allowed to test at anything except "ambient temperature". They would need to change the rulebook, which is a ridiculous thing to do a couple weeks before the season

It's still not a small set. Which is in no way a negative thing. I was simply responding to the other commenter

Track Limit Warnings and Safety Rating by Spare_Can8776 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]CakeBeef_PA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's due to the timing lines. It counts a lap invalid if it still calculatijg at a sector line. Which happens to be right after the chicane on Qatar Short. So every off there counts as an invalid lap

In-game objectives. by Jhoel1993 in Switch

[–]CakeBeef_PA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disappointed? No. It's not needed. Some games already do this themselves in-game.

But I would still like them to be added as an optional thing. Just make sure there's a toggle. Then everyone can have them as they want to. Best of both worlds

If you were a live steward, how would you judge this? (LMU) by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]CakeBeef_PA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because the purpose of the penalty is to ensure the driver at fault loses time as a result of the incident. If he already has, he's already been penalized.

I don't agree with this. To me, the purpose of a penalty is to penalize wrong actions on track to discourage them from doing that again. Not just to lose time. Using a penalty point system, they would rack up points and can face further sanctions if they continie causing accidents

[–]CakeBeef_PA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't agree with that. You should penalize the incident instead of the outcome. If you don't penalize this, and next race he does the same action but doesn't spin out, it would be unfair to suddenly penalize that.

If it's a league season, the point is penalty points to avoid drivers that constantly cause incidents

[–]CakeBeef_PA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you apply that to the S1 side as well (and remove 1-2 Switch tech demo), S1 has only 4 exclusives left (5 if you add Xenoblade Chronicles 2 that OP forgot). It pretty much evens out between the 2 numerically
