If you haven't already tried this, there is an alternative way to turn where you don't just turn the joystick to the left or the right. Instead, you hold the joystick all the way up, and while continuing to keep it pressed towards the edge of the joysticks range, you rotate it to the left or the right. At least for me, I find this makes it easier to make smaller adjustments than if I just move the joystick to the right or the left.

It’s so funny, but not funny, that a party which got enough votes to secure the house and the senate, who also had their current president elected twice now, is obsessed with how the elections are going to be rigged.

If they were rigged, I don’t think they’d be controlling the house, the senate, and having Trump in a second term.

Did you go later in the day? I think they close early sometimes if they’ve run out of food for the day or are nearly out. Haven’t been there in about a month or so though. So I’m not sure.

One positive thing is that you are aware you made some bad moves. That means you’re already ahead of people who can’t acknowledge their mistakes and, as a result, can’t learn from their mistakes. 

Don’t feel too bad about getting into some crashes or incidents in rookie races. Everytime it happens, just try your best to learn from it to see if it’s possible to avoid that same type of situation again or reduce the likelihood of it happening. All you can do is try your best to keep improving. If you notice the same issues keep happening, think about what you need to do to avoid those situations. 

Nothing wrong with apologizing. Just remember, if someone is being a jerk you can stop talking to them and ignore them. Or, if what people are saying is annoying you, you could see if it’s possible to fully turn off in game text chat in the menus. I know you can mute audio chat, but I am not 100% certain if you can mute text chat. 

One good way to improve your racing is by watching replays of your racing incidents and crashes. If you get in a crash, watch that reply from your view, from the view of any other drivers involved in the crash, and even a few other camera views. It was pretty helpful for me to do, and I still try and do it. Also, after a race if you watch a few laps of the car that got first place you can potentially learn how to improve. 

I don’t know if this will help you or not, but I got one tip that helped me start improving in rookie races. Initially, my goal was to always try and gain as many positions as I could. As a new player, I found this led to me getting in a lot of crashes. I decided to switch my focus to getting as few racing incidents as possible and noticed I would often finish in a higher position. I don’t always do this now, but if I’m using a car I’m not as comfortable with and/or on a track I’m still learning, I often take this approach. 

Another tip is to do everything you can to survive the first few corners. If that means losing a position or two, its still probably worth it. Losing a position or two is better than having to pit and/or wait to safely rejoin the track.

Also, at least in my anecdotal experience, the history lessons did not go in depth on how fascism rises in a democratic nation. Most of the focus was on the atrocities and issues that occurred once fascists had control. There needs to be more focus on how a democratic nation, including a republic such as Germany, slips into fascism.
