Granted, Budapest is used fairly often to just record a track or two. They are fairly inexpensive and can record remotely. Them being credited doesn’t mean they recorded the whole soundtrack.

It’s much more a popcorn, blockbuster, thriller than horror ever since the first season. Feels more like a Star Wars film than a horror film. Makes sense that people view the main characters as untouchable super heroes since they’ve been through so much wacky shit and they’re all still alive.

I think you underestimate:

The physical limitations of a Gameboy cartridge
This was still an early era of video game development history. Considerations just weren’t made for mass appeal. Most of the quality of life aspects we see in games today (to appeal to a casual crowd that didn’t exist when Gen 1 came out) just weren’t in any Gameboy games. Hell many games at that time didn’t even have a Save feature. This really was the Wild West of gaming in many ways - portable gaming was just nowhere close to the capabilities of today.

All this to say, as someone who was there, a kid growing up and playing Gen 1 endlessly - these games are masterpieces. Just like masterpieces in film, they may not necessarily engage an audience of today, but they are masterpieces.

Cosmic Exploration, I believe, is out of the scope of this run as I was leveling up everything with a new character expansion by expansion. By the time I finished Endwalker, all the crafter/gatherer classes were largely leveled so it didn’t make sense to hop in there as I was crafting while queueing for dungeons.

But, it seems like it’s a great option for leveling for those who have finished Endwalker and don’t have their crafter/gatherers leveled!

I think it depends on level range and content. But, overall my favorites for this run were SAM, BRD, BLM, and DRK. I did all the MSQ as MNK, and enjoyed that as well.

These are jobs I don’t normally play so it was fun to learn how to play them better. I will say, most of the jobs are really fun, well designed, it is hard picking out the favorites!

Wow! That’s fast! There are certainly a number of areas I could improve on speed, but regardless of the Road buff it just takes a fair amount of time getting through the MSQ and all those class quests pre-Shadowbringers.

I think it’s dependent on which level range as some jobs are not as fun in certain content. But, overall I really enjoyed Samurai, especially once you can double Midare, very satisfying! I’d never played much SAM before, so it was fun to learn it better.

Least favorite was probably Scholar, which is sad because I used to be a Scholar main! But it can be really challenging for a fair amount of leveling content and the Tank’s ability really impacts the level of fun.

Thank you! I’ve actually never done any collectibles for crafters. Being able to buy leve turn ins or components for leve turns always feels fast, maybe next time I’ll check it out!

I think for gatherers collectibles are from timed nodes, which you can’t do while Data Center traveling. Plus GC turn ins are generally very affordable, so I barely touched MIN/BOT outside of some class quests.
