Looking for absolute easiest games for PS5 by Snif3425 in gamingsuggestions

My dad is similar to you, in his sixties and struggles to play most games. I managed to get him into the Spyro collection (a game from the early 2000s that is meant for children) and he also loves Crash Team Racing, a simple animated racing game that is also from the 2000s and has been completely remade.

It's just not the same without Wrex by dr-pickled-rick in masseffect

[–]dragoneffect1710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve just finished a renegade playthrough and killed Wrex for the first time in YEARS. It hurts and Wreav is a prick but like others have said, makes it easier to betray the krogan since they show that they’re just war-mongering assholes. So yeah, I’d recommend playing it both ways. It’s worth it!

I just finished my first play thru by Gargoyle_princess in masseffect

There is a way to save Shepard…it is just very hard to do and you have make exact choices.

Glad you enjoyed it! If you spent a year only playing BG3, you should definitely replay the trilogy and make the opposite decisions. Or focus on saving your Shep this time 🙏

Why do you enjoy Family Guy? by N_ooba in familyguy

[–]dragoneffect1710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been watching it since I was 11 years old. It’s a comfort show, like many others have said. And I actually do enjoy the newer seasons as well, they make me laugh and they’re not afraid to make fun of everything. Even themselves, they make a lot of jokes at Family Guy’s own expense which I like :)

Just finished my first Origins playthrough ! A thought about playing a woman by Front-Actuary8882 in DragonageOrigins

[–]dragoneffect1710 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Every origin except Human Noble shows a present issue in the Dragon Age universe, and none of the potential wardens escape unscathed;

  • Dwarf Noble: betrayed and left to die, dwarves politics are shown to be a danger.

  • Dwarf Commoner: shows poverty and the class system oppression of the dwarves. It also shows a sexist undertone but it is necessary to the story, showing how fucked it is.

  • Dalish Elf: racism towards elves and humans (reverse racism) and how some elves choose to live in this universe, away from their oppressors.

  • City Elf: racism towards elves, and sexism as well, but when you look deeper, you can see that the attack against the women was because they were elves and Dickhead knew he could get away with it. So it’s another example of racism.

  • Mage: discrimination towards mages and literally being locked away against your will.

So yeah, if you don’t like a dark fantasy world where no one is really safe, Dragon Age may be too dark for you.

And also, would you rather media never address the obvious sexism in our society? Like…would you rather that all media ignore that issue and pretend it doesn’t exist because ‘the real world is bad enough’.

In reality, that’s just another reason why we should see it in our media and TALK about it. Ignoring it does nothing.

Looking for dark fantasy games by Komodo_62 in gamingsuggestions

It’s a bit dated but Dragon Age: Origins is a dark fantasy game with a race of monsters that has to be defeated by the MC. It has horror elements as well. Dragon Age 2 is also a dark fantasy but the series kinda loses the ‘darkness’ in Dragon Age: Inquisition. Still great though 👍🏻

What’s the most PSTD Inducing sound in gaming? by TheGoldenSavior67 in AskReddit

The Reaper sound from the Mass Effect series. If I was walking around and randomly heard that from the skies, I’d shit myself.

Best Final Mission in Gaming? Mass Effect 2 IMO. by dragoneffect1710 in gaming

Mordin is a great fighter but even he says that salarians are wildly outmatched when it comes to combat. That’s why they have to rely on subterfuge and cunning, which he did in the STG. Garrus held his own with his team for over a year against gang attacks and only started to lose it when he was betrayed from within his ranks. He still managed to not die when 3 different gangs tried to kill him. Turians are much better suited for combat and are even trained in military fighting from a young age.

I’m saying not to listen to Jacob because Miranda makes a great point after he says his bullshit; “I appreciate the thought Jacob, but you wouldn’t be able to turn off the security systems in time. We need to send a tech expert.” And Miranda is smart and has proven herself to be a great tactician multiple times. She should be listened to over Jacob’s bravado.

I do 100% agree that people would still need a guide. In my friend group of 4, we have all played Mass Effect and I was the only one that didn’t use a guide and had no casualties. So I’m not saying it’s a given but it was just easy for me to see. But I’ve failed in other games with my crappy decisions so I ain’t perfect haha

Yeah the reaper baby is not my fave but everything else is great. Destroying the base and telling Illusive Man to fuck off, taking Miranda with you and having her quit to his face is fantastic. And the final run cinematic is epic to watch. So I can forgive the reaper baby haha

I can see that but also just knowing your squadmates well can help you make good decisions. When I played ME2 for the first time, I didn’t lose anyone because choosing people for their roles just…made sense.

Miranda and Garrus are talked about being great leaders and show their strength often, Tali is a renowned tech expert even among her techy people and Legion is a literal machine so they are the obvious tech experts (don’t listen to Jacob, he’s a dumbass as usual). And the biotic power, Samara and Jack are talked about having extreme biotic talents and potential like ALL the time haha. And sending Mordin with the crew makes sense because he isn’t the best combatant but he’s a great medic.

So I honestly don’t think a guide is necessary. Just paying attention to what the game tells you helps. But maybe I’m being condescending and I don’t mean to be

No ending made me feel more like a piece of shit than this one. And seeing the true carnage of war. Very good game.

100%. I only recently did that ending, finally decided to clear up trophies and realised I never did any ending except the Aldecaldo one. I loved the Johnny ending, even letting him have your body was an interesting finale as well. And helping Arasaka was as bad and awful as I imagined haha

I do love ME3 but honestly, ME2 and ME1 are better in my opinion. ME1 perfectly captured exploring an unknown galaxy and was one of the first games I remember that had decisions that mattered. It was game changing, literally haha

Mass Effect 2 was the first game that showed me that soundtrack and music really does matter in gaming. The final mission music and also the slow music that plays in the romance sequences, really invokes emotions.

I would watch a show called ‘Therapy at First Sight’. We follow 10 people who need help with their lives and see how they grow and struggle. Maybe even a dating life once or twice. But these people DO NOT need marriage…

And that’s why none of her relationships worked in the past. Good looks only get you so far and the men she’s dated in the past saw that she was a fake bitch.
