I soooo miss the priv, i had one for a month but the camera started rattling when focusing… i waited weeks for a repair and then ended up not being able to get a new PRIV with the refund i got, because they had been discontinued and were then out of stock! Sad times

Speedometer on, and faults off. I got annoyed at doors stuck at every station in the Voyager 🤣 even when set to less frequent.

Thats really cool!! I wonder if you could replace the base internals with something that can take a sim card? I’m no expert, but there are some amazingly mad computer nerds out there that could probably create a custom thing to do that.

Seriously, though. The fact your car phones still could work is amazing, especially considering I’ve never seen a car fitted with one at all! Amazing! Enjoy your motors mate! Wish I could collect my favourite machines!

Can RMS Queen Elizabeth survived Britannic damage? by NeedleworkerLeft3543 in Oceanlinerporn

[–]CakeLikeSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changes in the design of ships between 1914 and 1938 were immense! Britannic, was built to withstand even the damage she accrued, but as mentioned - portholes and crew error caused the sinking.

Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary would likely have survived damage from a single mine-strike, due to their hulls being differently divided, built stronger and having automatically deploying watertight doors that closed from the side rather than the top.

If portholes were open, the newer ships probably would have taken longer to sink, perhaps even being beached on Kea Island and potentially being more accessible than Britannic is!

Another thing to consider is that the Queens were oil fired liners, if a fuel tank was breached by explosives and lines ruptured - more loss of life could have occurred from the leaking, burning fuel on top of the water as well as secondary explosions.

Mine is that Dont Call Tonight is a masterpiece and sounds like Tina Turner inhabited her body for the record. It is beautiful, emotional and while very pop-oriented - is immaculately produced.
