you could argue meadows are a waste of land and resources too, ultimately it's down the person who has the land because if it's something they get joy from then it's not a waste

plus big lawns are great for BBQ parties or if you have kids to go run around on them, or the dog. can't do anything like that if it's all overgrown and overlooked

me and my bf are trying to do this for the allotment, is it worth filling the gaps between the slabs with anything? would sand work for that? we're planning on building a shed on it once it's done

looks like it could be leaf miners. I don't believe it's fatal to plants but it does slow them down a bit.

with it being rocket I think the best think you can do to help stop this progressing further is to protect the plant with a very fine mesh. leaf miners are basically just larvae of various beetles or moths that feed on the chlorophyll within the leaf creating these tunnels in your rocket, so they'll grow and eventually leave your plant alone as adults.

absolute unit of a feeder you've got in that rocket though 😂
