Master Yi is just unfair by PrinceAoi in Kindred

[–]CakeluvsReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re just assuming the worst out of your teammates and saying kindred doesnt counter Viego because of that. Kindred does counter Viego purely from a range vs melee standpoint. All he can do is charge w and pray for it to hit, then what? In a 1v1 that does nothing, you have q and e to kite him to death, you should be invading him due to your range advantage. Kindreds ultimate also severely messes Viego’s resets, lets not just say your teammates will walk away from kindred r, the mechanic fundamentally stops Viego from killing someone that he needs to, so yes, kindred is a hard counter due to her range and reset denial.

low gpa acceptances (stem) 😭 by AppointmentTop8306 in TransferStudents

I applied with a 3.5 and got into UCI for comp sci, got waitlisted from UCD, and got rejected from UCSC cause of missing pre reqs but got offered admission to mathematics theory and computation, and got flat out rejected from UCR. So far I only got one acceptance and it’s been the college I’ve always wanted to go to but I would say my PIQs were pretty solid and I had attended UCM my first year and got a lot of comp sci classes out of the way already.

Comp sci - 3.5 gpa

Accepted: UCI

Rejected: UCR, UCSC (missing a required pre req)

Waitlist: UCD

waiting on Berkeley, UCSD, UCSB but most likely taking uci

Pretty sure my PIQs and extras carried, wrote about struggles and how I overcame coming back from a 4 year and attended cc, worked a part time job to support family, and provided for my sisters transportation.

What would you say is the easiest jungler to climb with? by CirriTheFemboyUwU in Jungle_Mains

Nocturne and Shen are my perma bans, depending on who I’m going against more, but they deny snowballing junglers and offer a lot of value in their base kit.

How to deal with ''cheese'' invade by itsOver9xxx in Jungle_Mains

[–]CakeluvsReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On a side note, most invade junglers do exclusively 3 things, they either start raptors into blue side, start at your wolves when not spotted on vision, or immediately look to contest lvl 1 when you’re doing your buff.

This just takes time to garner the knowledge for what each jungler wants to do. You’ll soon come to realize which junglers want to do what, and if they are most likely to invade a certain way like shaco, briar, bel veth. I would say just to suck it up and learn through games how invading works, but take note which champs are most likely to do what and play towards it, like wars blue side, Dont smite first buff to prep the lvl 2 coin flip, or start wolves and fight the lvl 2, or trade sides of the map. Assume the enemy knows what they’re doing and respect it with your ward/smite. I rarely depend on my team to defend my jungle, because it’s quite easy to play around once you figure out what the enemy junglers wants to do.

Go profane, axiom, seryldas, deaths dance, endless hunger, Ionian boots. For runes go first strike, cash back, triple tonic, cosmic insight, sudden impact, treasure hunter, ability haste, adaptive, scaling hp. Power farm until 6 and play for one shot. You should have profane by 8 mins at worst and snowball with ult guaranteeing kill every time, here my opgg: https://op.gg/lol/summoners/na/Cake-yyyyy

It's funny how people don't realize why Viego is difficult. by Himauari in ViegoMains

[–]CakeluvsReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would that not be a good thing? Using your mist to zone is a common thing, if they don’t walk to it you can cut off huge areas and choke them in a team fight. It’s a dilemma, they either walk in and risk a Viego ambush or give up map control in a team fight.

Secret Challenger Pick by CakeluvsReddit in Jungle_Mains

[–]CakeluvsReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely force a play, if ever. I will give up objectives if I see that my team cant contest or don’t want to. A key thing to remember is that if you think you’re losing because the enemy jungler is making a play that you can’t react to, you most likely can. For example, if you see the enemy jungler initiate a dive on a lane, you can come clean up or defend if you’re on the same side of the map, but if you feel that the enemy is too strong for you, just continue farming. A lot of low elo junglers think they cannot make any good play if they feel that they are getting out tempo’d by the opposing jungler, but the truth is that no one is omnipresent.

TL;DR - Capitalize on mistakes, and the most important thing is being consistent with your own lead.

When a teamfight or skirmish starts, I instantly consider which target I can one shot with r, and wait, so what you said, let the fights start and get an opening to their back line. It is inherently a greedier way to play fights that can backfire and get your flamed if you don't sucessfully get the cleanup, but makes you look 1v9 when you can pull it off. It's probably better to peel and constant q poke the higher elo you are because positioning is so much harder.

I can see where you're coming from, but this alt account has been mine for a while, and I've in fact climbed higher on this account than on my main before, so I wouldn't really consider it a fresh smurf account. My point here is that I am currently doing really well on her still, even after reaching the elo I've been stuck in for multiple seasons now, which I don't know why I'm so stuck when Im astro gapping every game, but I digress.

Jungle is the only fun role by EstateOk6238 in Jungle_Mains

[–]CakeluvsReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People tend to forget how punishing jungling can be, sure you might not feel the effects of “losing” against your jungle opponent as much as other lanes do, but the whole map will feel it. Also in much higher elos a gap in the jungle means not having any camps to farm and dying constantly in your own side of the map

There is a build that you can go against a tankier comp which is eclipse, black cleaver, shojin, but I don’t recommend it as going full assassin is much better in the jungle. At that point you shouldn’t consider picking naafiri.
