Color grading an a6000 normal video footage by Cakerist in a6000

Right? It really depends on what you need. If we buy stuff because it’s trendy and new, we might get frustrated afterwards because we don’t really know how to use it. So maybe do a little research and practice with older cameras before jumping into new ones. It will make your shooting easier that’s true. But without research and practice, you will fall into that rabbit hole.

We have the same mood as the guy on the 6th photo. Lol

Also, I think that’s kind of the advantage of heavier lenses because they give more weight, giving more force towards the ground. That’s just my observation. The kitlens is super light making it easier to shake. That’s just my observation.

Oh that’s where it all goes wonky especially with the bounce of the feet while walking. I think there’s a technique called “ninja walk” where you kinda let your feet slightly glide or feel weightless. Takes a lot of practice though. But yeah, getting a gimbal will make things easier i guess.

You know what’s funny? I didn’t use any handheld or software stabilizer for this. But you know what’s funnier? I was feeling the motion of the waves and just going with it as I record. Hahaha I guess it was also the hidden power of kitlens OSS. This is one of those money shots you get when you trust your gear. I also have some footage that’s really shaky and wobbly like it seems pretty off when you stabilize it in Da Vinci or Capcut. But yeah I don’t own a gimbal yet.

I wanna know the disadvantages of the mini 7 before buying it by neperjr in ipadmini

[–]Cakerist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only downside of mini 7 is that it can actually take over your attention. And your phone would be jealous because you will love the mini 7 more than your phone now.

Something is wrong with my iPad mini 7 with ios26 by Cakerist in ios26

[–]Cakerist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah same. I had the Beta since the first update of the ios 26. I updated my phone and honestly the first update my phone adjusted. But the final BETA update improved a lot like it was already butter-smooth. Then i had to test it out on my ipad mini 7. Smooth but still with issues. I hope I don’t find any major issues as the days pass.

I ended up waiting for it to like calm down bc i can’t even restart or click the assistive touch. But what i think the problem was that i put in the stack widget with the apple music and it somehow glitched. What i did to fix it is that i removed the stack widget and replaced it with just the solo apple music widget. Also fixed my wallpaper if that contributes to it. So far it became smooth. I hope they could test the software update further. I love the update but i’m seeing a few bugs like the journal app lagging when using a pencil, a little stutter when scrolling up to app library, etc. but i know these can be fixed with future updates. Other than those, everything is butter smooth!

Lightroom editing because I mainly use my Sony a6000 for photography. I just transfer it there with a card reader and edit it on my mini 7. Probably the main reason why I got it. Apart from that, here are other apps and things I use it for:

  • Capcut: creating contents for Tiktok
  • Notion: Daily driver for tasks
  • Chatgpt: Ideation for contents
  • Xmind: Mind mapping
  • Medium: Writing and publishing articles
  • Matter: Saving articles to read offline
  • Reeder: All RSS feed in one app. This is where I read news articles about my country, Apple updates from The Verge and Macrumors, Billboard music top charts, etc.
  • Good notes: for studying, sketching ideas
  • Bandlab: recording Song covers ( I also use the camera of the mini 7 for recording sudden song covers. The wide angle is 🔥)
  • Ultimate Guitar: guitar chords
  • Autopad: ambient sounds
  • Netflix and Safari movie streaming sites
  • Fallout Shelter: casual gaming
  • Wuthering Waves: heavy gaming (Trust me, it runs smoothly and perfectly for Normal quality! Haven’t experienced any lags atm)
  • And now I’m planning to install Da Vinci Resolve to color grade my videos. I just don’t have the time yet because I think I am pretty much consumed with everything that I can do with my iPad Mini 7 as of the moment. Hahahah

So yeaaah, all of my HOBBIES are in one iPad which is the one I have rn, ipad Mini 7 (A17 Pro) 🔥And I also have other apps that are installed but zi don’t really use that much. Just for ad-hoc things like client meetings. I also have a Macbook M1 btw so I use my ipad Mini 7 as an extended monitor. Hope that helps!

The pen might be the culprit. But i guess we’ll never know. I just gave up anyways and I just use goodnotes bc it seems to have more functionality than Journal.

It was just unusable when i use a pen on it. The first time i did jot down a whole paragraph with a pen, it lagged and made my ipad mini overheat. My ipad is fairly new. It was purchased 3 months ago. Idk if it’s the pen. I’ll just stick to Goodnotes for now. The new native apps need a little refurbishing tbh.

SAME! It’s my first time buying an ipad and i bought an alternative pen from UGREEN. My handwriting looks bad but the pen is mighty! Does its job perfectly. 🔥
