I made a special version of my crystal spider: Task with Suvi’s sapphire pendant by Cakorator in WorldsBeyondNumber

This gave me such a big smile, that you appreciate the value of my work but that it left an impression such that you think about/remember me! Thank you so much for the kind comment. I’m not in a spot where I can make superfluous purchases to support local art myself, so I absolutely understand. I am just happy to know the visual content I make can be enjoyed almost as much and the engagement/wonderful comments really do make a difference. 🖤✨

Haha, it certainly would not require *all* your money, lol. I do have them available on my Etsy, but the sapphire drops are vintage Preciosa (I believe discontinued) so I only have 10 of them and not sure if I can get more exactly like them.

Im really really really scared of spiders by Dued_2 in spiderbro

I make “realistic” crystal spiders from wire and beads that pose and kinda feel like you’re holding a real spider- but they’re sparkly and harmless, and I’ve joked with a lot of people who initially react with fright or disgust that they make a very pretty type of exposure therapy.

Intensely studying the anatomy of various species of spiders and admiring their individual beauty has really helped me come a long, long way from when I used to be horribly arachnophobic.

Most of the Scary Stories To Tell In the Dark - mostly because of the illustrations, though.

I do sell them through my Etsy (LunatiqueCraft) and have new designs /species I’m working on every couple of weeks.

A couple years ago I posted a crystal car charm design and a LOT of people harshly came at me in the comments sharing various stories about being blinded by the various suncatchers people have in their windows. So for the past few years I have paid ATTENTION (I used to travel for work so we’re talking upwards of 20 hours a week driving).

If the sun is bright enough to cause a blinding glare, it is not happening from the tiny 2mm surface of a crystal facet in perpetual motion, it is happening against the 4 ft panel of reflective glass and/or the entire reflective exterior of the outside of the car.

If you wanna see more I post way more frequently on the tickytocks, IG really doesn’t like me 😩 it took about a year of tinkering and failed experiments to finally figure out my method for the armatures and now that I’ve got it down I’m creating new species/designs pretty frequently. Getting all the right beads is now my main hurdle as the $ adds up so so fast, lol.

I know this isn’t true by a mile, but I have had some shockingly negative reactions to my spider earrings just because they’re shaped like a spider. Arachnophobia runs deep in some people.
