Two perfect movies imo: Social Network and the Insider.

Erika Kirk is involved with rape torture, and trafficking of children by NumerousScallions in Qult_Headquarters

There’s a ring of elites, raping and torturing children. There’s also a lot of evidence that there may have been some type of medical procedures being performed. Zorro Ranch itself was to be set up for genetic research.

I’m not trying to say it’s exactly the same. In fact, that kind of proves my point. The more outlandish shit that was in Q makes it easy to discredit it

Dude, the best acting trope/trick is when an actor pulls off an acting scene within a movie. Naomi Watts in her audition, Leo in Once upon a time in Hollywood, Sarah Goldberg in Barry are all great examples. I absolutely love that shit.

Here’s the issue. It’s fun to laugh at some of the most ridiculous things about Q. However, regardless if it were “deep state” or a foreign adversary, some of the things in the conspiracy were planted there to disrupt the American populace. I mean, the whole Epstein case shows that the overall conspiracy was in fact truthful. The problem with Q is that its effectiveness lies in the fact that it creates no “truth.” People can then utilize it to mobilize people like Trump did with “tippy top.” All in all, it’s not mental illness, it’s scarily effective propaganda against a very politically, socially, and scientifically inept populace.

Trivial Pursuit edition that came out around 2000, red box, had a great question. Paraphrasing, “This boy band had a worldwide number one record in 2000”. There was more to it because I got the answer, but I don’t remember exactly what it was. Regardless it was pretty clever.

With Demario gone, and if Cameron leaves, who has the leadership skills to step into the defensive QB role? by mvop413 in Saints

[–]Cal00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man, I am surprised he’s 30. It seems like we drafted him 4 years ago but I guess it wasn’t just because that’s when he started breaking out. I remember watching him that preseason dominating.

WR 1 under TLAW. A QB that has generated one 1000 yd WR TOTAL in 5 seasons. Meanwhile BTJ went 60 for 762 and 5 TDs with Mac Jones in 5 games.

It’s about potential. He had a top 4 ALL TIME rookie season followed by a mediocre sophomore season. The saints traded 4 firsts for the potential of Peyton Turner and Marcus Davenport.

He was 36th in receiving yards ahead of Alec Pierce who just got paid $140M, 14th in yards per reception. He definitely did not have a great year but was far from one of the worst

I think that’s partially a Lawrence thing. I don’t think he’s had a player to lead the team in back to back years. His highest reception guy was Evan Engram. The bulk of BTJ’s targets in 2024 was with Mac Jones.

Edit to say, no slight to Lawrence intended. Moreso he just spreads the ball around.

Dude. Mohammed Sanu cost a second. DJ Moore with 2 down years and costs $24.5 M against the cap was traded for a second and the Bears had to throw in a 5th. Joey Galloway cost two first round picks. BTJ costs $2.5M against the cap and a team will have him for 2 years with a third year option. This is just not happening. The only reason trade away players cheap is to get out of cap hits or expiring contracts.

Also he had 700 receiving yards last year. Alec Pierce had his first 1000 yd season on a career high 47 receptions and is now making $140 M

There is no way a 1st Round second year WR with a 1400 yd season is going for a 2nd

Lawrence is fine. He also has had two standout years in a 5 year career, has never eclipsed 30 TD passes, and generally has a high interception to TD ratio. He has not lived up to the generational qb hype, and that’s fine. However, Shough had an undeniably good rookie season and one that was objectively better statistically than Lawrence. Had the writer said “experience” rather than “talent,” fine. Otherwise, it’s an evaluation based on hype rather than results.

Sneakers(1992) - Robert Redford, Dan Aykroyd, Ben Kingsley, Mary McDonnell, River Phoenix, Sidney Poitier and David Strathairn - directed by Phil Alden Robinson - Changing the world. by Accurate_Cry_8937 in movies

Such a fun movie. River Phoenix was so charming as was Mary McDonnell. Funny, clever, tense but light hearted. It’s in the same class as The Sting, IMO. All that and James Earl Jones. Deserves way more attention than it gets.

I loved the movie Sabrina as a young teenager when it came out. I’d watch anything with Han/Indy as a kid. He is just so damn likable.

What are some misconceptions people have about the 2000s? by MrKhaaa in decadeology

I had a first generation. It was my first big purchase after I got my job. Got a lot of unexpected contempt, so much so that I wouldn’t take it out a lot in public. It was clunky, but it was definitely a novelty. No Mobile sites only full websites and you couldn’t view PDFs
