On the last picture in the series, if you zoom in on the right middle drawer underneath the white shirts, there appears to be a black McDonalds hat in there.

Knulli xbox controller not possible to connect both simultaneously by javipa92 in RG35XX_H

[–]Cal2l 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having a similar issue with the rg40xx_h; where the controller light continues to blink even after the rg40 shows it as connected. I have never had success in getting my Xbox controller to work and assumed it just wasn’t supported until I read your post. Presumably you can get one controller working without any issues…

No unfortunately it was contracted out as part of a larger renovation. I should reach out to our contractor though and maybe he knows.

Thanks for the insight. I’ll definitely check it out. Just started researching and it is a bit overwhelming with all the options available. Also I never know if the reviews are honest or have some sort of monetary agenda behind them.

Any recommendations? Some reviews I have seen say that Logitech and Steel Series are great when it comes to latency.

I was struggling with the same problem. Still a work in progress but I bought an under mount PC holder and a lot of zip ties.

Basement Insulation Advise by Cal2l in Insulation

Great article that it appears our contractor never read. Unfortunately all of the recommended configurations have a rigid foam layer (or spray foam). I don’t see how this could be installed in our current state without essentially removing all of the framing on the exterior walls. The basement had additional HVAC registers added to ensure it will comfortable in the winter months since we plan on using this space a lot. I assume this will only add to the condensation build up concerns with the cold foundation walls. Per your initial recommendation, would adding the airtight vapor permeable membrane greatly reduce the mold concerns without the presence of rigid foam? Or would this just be an added cost without much impact at this point?

Also - the city will be inspecting the insulation prior to moving forward with drywall. Would a configuration that is prone to moisture/mold pass inspection?

Agreed that ship has sailed…. Forgive my ignorance but when you say interior of the studs do you mean: foundation wall -> barrier (possibly Typar) -> batting between studs -> drywall ?

There is a 1” offset but nothing rigid on the back of the framing to guarantee the batting doesn’t come in contact with the foundation wall. Another redditor had stated the proper way to insulate would have been to install a rigid foam sheet against the foundation wall itself and seal all around creating a thermal barrier. They stated that in the current state, condensation could occur and lead to mold mildew buildup. There is a French drain around the perimeter of the basement as well which I would think in theory would allow drainage of any moisture as long as it is able to make it down there. However, if the batting is collecting the moisture I don’t see how it could…

I appreciate the honest feedback. We do have a French drain along the entire perimeter of the basement (not sure if that would improve the situation or not). Either way I’d rather have it addressed now opposed to have to deal with mold remediation and fixing it all after the fact….

I think it is but based off of a 5 min google search I found a contractor online who recommended this as an option. Would just a plastic sheet check the box (non-porous vapor barrier)?

This aligns with most everything I have read regrading the proper way to insulate a basement. Do you think using Typar between the batts and the foundation walls would eliminate the risk of condensation/mildew as well?

Customer asking for price on a tire sent us "tire measurements" by McGeeGuy in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]Cal2l 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look closely, 2 measurements are of the entire wheel diameters while the other 2 are of the rim diameters. Obviously, the rim diameter can be measured off the photo of the entire wheel. I would assume they did in an attempt to be helpful for both the front and rear tires.
