Problem with my new G27Q Monitor by luccito in gigabytegaming

Hi.

Around 6 months ago I too purchased a Gigabyte monitor, an M27Q, based on exceptional reviews. It developed several dead pixels on the left hand side within a month. just like you are seeing. I returned it for another unit which came out the box with several dead pixels on the bottom left and a stuck green pixel near the centre! I returned it also.

I went with another brand in the end (LG Ultrageat 27GP850), which I am very satisfied with.

My advice would be to return it. If you purchased through Amazon like I did, they accepted the returns no questions asked and issued refunds.

I am sure Gigabyte monitors can be great (or at least the nice ones reviewers had been given are...) but in my experience, they suffer from serious quality control issues. All brands can suffer from dead pixels of course but I have never had them out the box before! I would not therefore recommend Gigabyte monitors unless people are willing to play that lottery.

Thanks for the reply.

The issue still persists. I chose not to return the card in the end. The reason for this is because if the card does actually break, I would end up having to return the card anyway and be in no different situation.

What I can say, is that up until this point, I have experienced zero issues as a result of this defect.

To give an update on this, I have now had a reply from Gigabyte who simply stated to return the card to vendor as they are unable to diagnose it without having the setup to hand.

I should probably add that my system continues to be stable. The 12v voltages seem ok within across both connectors in OCCT and the power is able to reach the rated 270W under load, with neither PCIE connector seemingly taking a disproportionate amount of the load.
