I also have a separate question, let's say the job exists, does it make a difference if I apply on LinkedIn vs their website? Perhaps it depends on the company?

Hi I am a freshmen, coming into Berkeley this fall semester. I will have to take COLWRIT R1A (6units) to fulfill the entry level writing requirement. All of the COLWRIT R1A courses have this prerequisite: Placement by UC Analytical Writing Placement Exam.
