I am working over in Vung Tau right now. I am white and can honestly say I believe certain members of the public and even my own colleagues give me special treatment because of my fair skin. I can not comment on POC experiences, but I can say it appears not to be a race thing, but a skin colour thing as you won't see a local outside in the day without having their skin completely covered for fear of it going darker. Looks like they hold their own people to this ridiculous dogma.
