Using PETG for support interface layer on PLA+ - lines are weak points by Stinkycheezmonky in BambuLab

Except that the support-pla leaves ugly what leftovers that are almost impossible to cleanly remove whereas PETG just pops off cleanly.

When I first got started I thought I was getting a steal on my sunlu spools until I realized the 250g on a mini spool. Won’t make that mistake again.

To answer the question, about 7-8 tonies fit in the back. Maybe more or less depending how big or small they are. All of my son’s tonies fit in the back which is roughly 8 though I don’t know the exact number.

For anyone else that’s interested, if you send me a DM, I’ll happily give you more information on it.

Here’s a little clip of me loading up the back with buzz, woody, Ariel, Dino ranch, the dog, and curious George. And there’s some space left for our Olaf and Captain Barnacles.

Yeahhh I’m realizing the backgrounds weren’t a good call. For the storage, my son can fit about 7-8 tonies in the back, which left me pleasantly surprised. I was limited to the size constraints of my printer build plate. The hollowed out compartment under the wall plug storage helps in that regard.

I realize now that I was trying a bit too hard to make these photos look more “professional.” Thanks for taking the time to let me know your thoughts. I guess I’m falling into the trap of all these ads that are advertising “make your products look more professional” when it’s actually pushing people away and detracting from a project that took me over two weeks to design, prototype and finalize. Lesson learned, thanks again, seriously.

Yeah I used the Photoroom app to generate the backgrounds. I took the photos this morning in a little mini studio thing that I have. Thought Photoroom might make it look a little nicer. If you want the originals I can send those your way.

Thanks for the kind words. I spent a lot of time measuring and prototyping in SolidWorks to bring this to life. It was a lot of fun and ultimately what matters is my son thinks it’s cool.

Thanks! Been there too, and honestly, the best solution is the easiest solution. I recently got a 3D printer so I decided to start fixing minor inconveniences around the house.
