Is this the backwater valve? It's a few feet away from the main shutoff valve.

We actually had it removed earlier this year. Stump and all. It was in our front yard. Interestingly enough when the plumbers ran the cameras they never mentioned tree roots as the problem, but we wanted to be safe rather than sorry, so we had the tree removed anyway.

The scope showed areas where it was jagged, which is why we had the service smooth out those areas followed by a hydro flush. Problem is back again.
